Default Having Trouble Getting Search Engine Traffic

Hi Guys,

I've been trying to figure this out for quite a while now and am spending wwaayy too much time on the computer trying get traffic to my website.

I have a few sites on the go but the main one I'll refer you to is refinishnetwork.com . It has been around since feb 2008 and i've added several original articles, many youtube how-to video's and it has an active forum because I do have quite a few dedicated members.

I am currently getting about 50 referals (per day) from search engines (95% google) and about 10-15 search terms are "refinishnetwork.com" if that makes any difference. I get a good amount of traffic from other forums I participate on & a bit from youtube but not a ton. My total is usually 150 / day unique visitors on average.

I am just loosing my mind now. I've tried article directories, have a few bigger sites linking to me to get a PR 2 but still seems nothing is comming from the engines. I was hoping some of the more experienced here could have a quick look and let me know what jumps out at you. Thanks!

I'd use ForumBooster - The Best Paid Forum Posting Service & Content Writing to help jumpstart the site with users, threads and posts. Continue to do that for 3-4 months.

Hold a contest. Give away t-shirts, bumper stickers or something else small for people that make X amount of posts. I had a forum about Incubus (band) and I gave away free tickets to the person who posted the most. It became a real active forum fairly quickly.

You could buy keywords from PPC. Keywords that are $.05 and that's it to help gain traction for the forum.

There are lots of ways, just think "give stuff away" to people and they'll continue to come and participate.

Default Re: Having Trouble Getting Search Engine Traffic

from your title

this looks like the term you are targeting in google

auto body repair - Google Search

sure its big numbers, though no overly strong domains at the top of that list..

I checked the first 5 pages and didn't see your site..

Using my LL software (see the wso) I cannot see any reason why you wouldnt get first page in 3 to 6 weeks and high up on the first page after a little longer with your existing site with no changes at all..

I would have thought the competition would be stronger for that term

but with a global search volume of
auto body repair1 - 3$2.39

246,000
its very much worth ranking for etc..

consider these terms below aswell.. from the free google keyword tool

auto body repair estimate 1 - 3 $2.54 2,900
auto body repair estimates 1 - 3 $3.04 1,300
auto body repairs 1 - 3 $2.24 8,100
auto body repair parts 1 - 3 $1.80 1,300
auto body repair tools 1 - 3 $1.87 1,900
auto body repair cost 1 - 3 $1.51 720
auto body repair shops 1 - 3 $2.97 12,100
auto body repair services 1 - 3 $0.09

consider reworking your sites title as described here in my PDF

hth's

cheers

Pete
