Within the past few weeks, I have sent 563 clicks to commission junction, but up to this point no sales. my main niche is golf. I,m hoping with the 60 day tracking cookie to get a lot of return customers that will make holiday purchases. I mostly use fb,twitter and linked in for advertising. I,m disabled with emphysema so i would like the knowledge to earn at least a couple of hundred extra each month being an affiliate. Most posts i have seen seems to say commision junction is trustworthy? Any input will be highly appreciated!

There are many variables involved. Your offer, your ads, your landing page, your follow-up. Start testing variables after you make sure your targeting is tight.

Are your visitors actively searching for your product? "Surfer" traffic is hard to convert.

Without a complete evaluation of your entire funnel, no one can offer much help.

The average conversion rate is around 2% give or take. The idea is to drive as much traffic to a solid product as you possibly can. The better the product (up to and including your landing page, ebook, whatever it may be), the better the conversion rates. Try to utilize things such as Google Alerts, Reddit, Facebook (events, pages, groups, etc). Buying ads is a solid idea. I bought $50 worth of Facebook ads for $5 on Fiverr. You could also create subreddits and Facebook pages around your niche (product), and find a way to cleverly throw your affiliate link in there. Social media (up to and including YouTube and Instagram) can be very beneficial if you know how to utilize it.

Does the offer or product your promoting making sales for other affiliates? Is it currently? Also how targeted is your marketing. What does your tracking say about your visitor? Id also start by trying to collect a lead. Much easier than making a sale! Create a squeeze page and learn to optimize that for the conversions. Start there!
