Two Domains for different countries? or one domain in .com?

My company had a local website domain extension that .com. au (domain age 8-year-old). Now, we are targeting two country - India and New Zealand, but the manager wants to have a different site for each country and actually we own the "example. global" domain.

Note:
domain Extension .com is not available
what should I recommend?
Single website?(with domain extension .com) or different site for each country? (local site .co.in and .co.nz)

If you create 2 sites, you have to promote both seperately, if you make 1 you can do all the work for 1, but this is up to you to choose what do you prefer more work or more websites
