I wanted to get hosting for one of my domains so that I could build a website on it.(bought the domain from namecheap.com)
I've decided on any one of the following web-hosts:
justhost
bluehost
hostmonster
Each of the above offer me a free domain. Now the problem is.......since I already own a domain, I should be clicking on the domain-transfer button.........but I still can't resist the free domain offer.
Should I buy hosting with a new domain name and then get them to host my already registered domain(all the above offer unlimited domain hosting) or should I transfer my domain. Will I be getting a free domain if I transfer my existing domain?

I think you should sign-up with them , and grab their free domain and setup hosting
there...and then you can add another domain( domain at namecheap - no need to transfer)
to the hosting account..and you are done..with hosting + 2 domains

NEVER transfer a domain to a hosting company. You should keep it where you "own" it at Namecheap and just point the nameservers to your hosting.
That "free" domain stuff is a load of poop anyway.
Go with hosting because of options and reliability, not because they give you an $8 domain.

I agree. Don't transfer a domain to a hosting company.

I agree with Allyn and add hostgator to your list.

Personally, I'd set up the domain that you purchased from NameCheap as the primary domain with the host that you select and I would not bother with the free domain name.

I never ever host a domain name with the same company that provides me with hosting. If you do and you get into a dispute, then that company has total control of both your domain name and your website(s).

If you feel that you must take advantage of the 'free' domain name, then do as Mohsin suggests.

      Just my thoughts,

      Regards,
      Jeff.

    so thats two against one.
If no other Warrior veteran suggests otherwise, I'll go for the domain transfer option, and get my domain at namecheap hosted over at justhost or bluehost.

Do not transfer your domain anywhere from Namecheap. Regarding the free domain at Bluehost, if you leave their hosting services someday, they may/may not transfer your domain or in simple words give your domain to you. It is kind of "binding" agent that will keep you glued to a specific host. So keep your domain at namecheap - point it's nameservers to your webhost nameservers and you are set.

        oops!
I didn't mean transferring the domain to the hosting company.
I just meant not buying the domain from the host. I will of course keep the domain at namecheap.

    I still don't get it.
I'm stuck on the sign-up page of Justhost.com and here's what's got me stuck.
On the first page, they asked me if I wanted a new domain or if I already had one. I have one so I input my existing domain.
On the next page, after I put in my data, they the order detail says something like this:
    Instant account activation free
    Account setup free
    Domain transfer: twitpedia.com free

But you guys said not to transfer the domain...........so what should I do??
    Please help.

I will consider hostgator too, but please help me with the problem.
I mailed Justhost support already and am waiting for support to respond.
As mentioned above, the order status says that I will get a domain transfer free. But I don't want to transfer domain, as you guys said.

The order page also says: "If you already own the domain you wish to host with us, please select "I already own my domain" so you can either transfer it to us or point to our name servers at no extra cost."

So go ahead. If they send you a request to transfer your domain just ignore it.
