Hi warriors,

Any tips on how to get images indexed by Google and displayed on the images section of the SERPS?

Thanks

    Hi Patrice,

Name your images' file names with relevant keywords, and use hyphens to seperate the keywords, like this:

    your-image-keywords-here.jpg

That's a good start, anyone else know some good tricks?

    For Jared and others,

did you notice faster movements on ranking on the images results compared to the normal links result?

I can see some of my images sometimes on the first page of the image result and sometimes those sames images disappear and come back hours later.

Google seems to rotate those images instead of ranking them like with the text results...

Anyone has a theory on this?

    Thanks,

    Patrice

Caution here, putting too many keywords in images may not be too good. Googlebot doesn't know how to read image, however it's able to realize and take notice if you have many keywords in your "alt" and "title" description. In fact Googlebot became extremely wary of keywords in those tags as it used to be a place of choice for spammers.
