Niche around a TV show

Hi,

I've got ideas about focusing on a specific aspect of a popular international TV show. I know I'd enjoy writing about it, if I gained traction and the content was good enough, then it could obviously lead to a book and related products.

Are there any glaring problems with concentrating on areas like this?

    Two cautions:

1- Make sure you are not violating trade names, trade marks, and copyright protected material. Often, such web sites contain references to and outright use of show names, products, and content. You don't have permission to use anything trademarked or copyrighted and you could suffer a costly law suit or just expensive litigation for trespassing since the process of making money off someone else's name, business, or work is illegal and can be confusing to the public.

2- Obviously, you have done your market research homework to see what kind of buying demand there is for this niche, correct? Just because a show may be popular, there is no guarantee that products about or around the show will lead to sales. Market research will tell you if there is buying demand or not.
