Hiring an Intern to Work for Me For Free... ?

I'd like to hire an intern to do some work for me, for free.

Is this legal, and possible? I sure think so.

But I need to know the legalities. Anyone know how to set this up?

Hi there the Oil man, I seen your post here about the work for free request. Just checking, what is the job scope about? I am interested to find out more.

Apprentices often work for experience other than pay. Just make sure you can prove that they actually did sign on to do work without pay. If they don't perform to your expectations, it's your own tough noogies though. If you need work done to your own specifications and need it done timely as well as done right and an apprentice doesn't
feel like cooperating, there's nothing you can do about it, you're just going to have to cough up some wages to get it done or do it yourself.
