Hey guys,

I have a question about internet marketing and how you use your own skill sets. When I started doing IM, the biggest problem that I faced was being deficient in a bunch of different skills. When I looked at various methods, I always saw at least one thing that I didn't know how to do. For example, creating microniche sites was a popular method back in the day, but I'm actually not a website designer and I don't really know how to make a website that looks good or that people would really want to visit.

I'm also not a graphic designer. I thought of creating my own company but I didn't have the ability to make a logo or design an infographic that would sell my product. I honestly didn't even know too much about marketing. The one aspect where I knew I would be able to add value was actually in content creation - I'm pretty decent at writing content for my websites.

Where do you add value in your own business and what do you outsource? I know that some people outsource everything but others probably have the skills and ability to do almost everything on their own - which camp do you fall in and how do you access the skills and people you need to make your business a success?

    On my own, I don't think I'd be able to add the same value to our business ...

    As a team - We make these things happen:

    * Market Research & Analytics - We recognize new opportunities in specialized industries. We then customize mutually beneficial solutions for these latest opportunities;

    * Systems & Process Workflow Design - We create and troubleshoot systems to hire and train and motivate the right people. We design and maintain the most suitable processes to streamline our back end and front end systems. We find and troubleshoot and sometimes create the most appropriate technologies to make things quicker, easier and more efficient for our people and processes, which often results to more productive people and processes;

    * Prospecting & Sales - This is where I can say I mostly do things on my own. I find prospect clients and partners. I entice them with mutually beneficial custom proposals. I convince them with fair and reasonable deals. I close profitable contracts; and

    * Contract Management - We manage these contracts by hitting realistic targets, fixing problems and improving results-oriented processes along the way ...

    Except for everything that I mentioned earlier - We hire employees and managers and sign up partners and subcontractors to do everything else that needs to be done for our back end and front end systems and processes ...

    I don't think I'd be able to explain that in one post; and
