Howdy all. A few weeks ago I posted a thread here bemoaning how Google had suddenly dropped my top passive income site from the top page of the SERPs for the best keywords. It had been entrenched in the Top 10 for months with only the usual drifting up and down a couple of spots now and then. Then one morning - POOF! It was still in the index, so I didn't fear anything really drastic, but it was a hit to my income. Then it came back a couple weeks later and all was right with the world again.

It's happened again. Google is dancing. This time, I'm gonna let "her" lead. I know that my site is solid. Good content, lots of strong backlinks, etc. It'll come back when "she" decides the Dance is over.

I'm just posting this for others who maybe haven't seen it happen to their established sites before. Don't freak out. Roll with the punches. They're temporary. Don't let it gull you into a lot of hand wringing and soul searching. Keep doing what got you to the party.

It's gonna be ok!

John

It really is always best to let the woman take control.

Oh man I know this pain well.

I have been known to let my ranks affect my mood. I have a super competitive spot that fluctuates every week from page 1 to page 3. On the days it's on page one I party, when it drops I moan.

Mostly it stays where it should but I need to stop stressing the dances.

    Great post.

    John you're rite..

I found out that when I suddenly build backlinks for my site, the ranking will drop for few days and then will be in a better ranking compared to last time after 1-2 weeks!!
