Can you afford to work ONE MONTH and then rest for ONE WHOLE YEAR?

OK, I admit it. Maybe, this is too much to ask for. How about one month of the extremely exhausting and profitable work that can buy a couple of months of the careless period of non-activity? This doesn't necessarily include some exotic destination as an unwritten rule. After one of those days, when you just forgot when you began with the work and you didn't even dare to guess when you would eventually finish, I suddenly recalled of an article or interview. I can't say for sure. I think that one of the A-list Hollywood superstars was explaining how hard it could be to work on the set for 12 or even 14 hours every single day, weekends included, for more than 6 months in a row. I think it was DiCaprio. Yet, there's a good news. After you're done making a movie you can call it day, or better to say a year.

You burn intensively so you can rest carelessly. Does this sound like a fair deal to you? You have multiple orders at the same time and you have to deal with the high volume of clients' demands. You don't complain. You work around the clock. And then, when you deliver what is promised, how much time you can afford in this way, where you won't have to do a thing? In other words, how many days of leisure one of your hard working days can provide you with? Is there some kind of a ratio, or a rule? For instance, one month of working as an SEO specialist can give you one month not to worry about new projects. Or, one month of work as a copywriter can buy you two months of free time for traveling and some quality time with your family. This ratio doesn't have to be specific profession related, but I have to ask a simple question. Is such a thing possible and realistic in the world of marketers?

I know some guys who like to brag around of being able to work only a couple of hours every day. Supposedly, that is more than enough for them to live a comfortable life like they have always wanted and planned. I definitely don't fit into this category. I have to work hard throughout the whole week and still not to be sure whether or not Sunday is going to be stress and job free. If this is true, meaning that you can work less and rest more, then I should definitely change something about my working routine and business approach. If after all this noble wish turns out not to be true, I would find some comfort in my current situation. It is what it is right now and I shouldn't complain about it. So, let me hear, where do you stand?

I work whenever I want... or not. Develop a solid stream of
residual income and it's entirely possible. I could walk away
for longer than a year and my income would likely continue to
increase. This is for work I did in the mid 90s.

Now, this sounds like a dream come true, lol. I'm glad that is entirely possible as you said it yourself. Meaning, it's worth fighting for. You die hard to build this source of income, but later you can party hard. Great! Thx! T

Even I'm full time work from home, I don't want to waste my time just to work too much in front of the monitor. Of course I can make more money if doing work online with more time but I have other reason to not going that way. I want to watch my kids growing up, spent time with them. I also have my other hobbies. So I have to choose my business models that close to passive income and autopilot things. Still I have doing manual blogging and editing and checking my listings. Well, doing what you like is the best way to worth your life.

I hear you Sirtiman. At the beginning of my career there's a period of a couple of years I was simply gone, missing in action, for my family. One day I suddenly realize that my kids are no longer babies. It was like in a confusing dream with a business background, lol. You are totally right. Some things are just not worth missing. There's no money to pay some things in the world. On the other hand, I have a line of my fans waiting for me at home with the same question. What have you bought us today, lol. So, it is a vicious circle my friend, lol. Thx. Appreciated.
