Default So...my attempt at breaking into IM legally.

I am currently 17 years old, and as a result I am not technically of the legal age to be apart of any networks or affiliate programs that I have found so far. This makes it difficult for this such as AC or CPA because I don't know how the lie will affect taxes with uncle sam and such. Upon realizing this I decided to start looking for different methods that have no age limit and so far I have found two methods that I think have some chance at good profit. The two methods I have found were writing my own ebooks or creating my own products and selling it as WSO's and on other websites based on the content (all of quality of course). Another method I found was flipping websites. Now I have no prior knowledge or experience with flipping websites and so I decided to turn to you more experience warriors for information. If anyone has any valuable information on flipping websites, or creating products that they could share or if they could point me towards any ebook (preferrebly free until I decide if its what I want to do) with some information on the two subjects I would greatly appreciate it.

I might have missed something, but I can't on a quick look see anything at Clickbank that says you have to be 18 to be an affiliate? (And I don't see why they'd want such a rule, either?). You've presumably looked at this already, though?

not click bank, im sorry I should rephrase what I said, I have word with clickbank before and i know they do not require you to be 18. However the only clickbank methods I know have to do with setting up a blog, reviewing a product, and then writing a crap ton of articles to promote it. Now this wouldn't really be a problem because I don't mind the work. I just really dislike the method (not so much the setting up a blog or website part). I don't like the idea of reviewing a product I have never used, seems a bit underhanded. Now I am sure that there are alot of other methods to promote clickbank products, and perhaps that knowledge is what I am missing. However having a payout period that is a month or so long plus time for checks to get to my house is also a bit of a drag when dealing with paying insurance and gas and all that stuff. Flipping websites/selling my own products just seemed like it would be a better deal, mostly for the instant pay out aspect. So I suppose if anyone has any clickbank ideas that doesnt involved false reviews or writing 15 million one sided articles trying to describe a product and a scenario that I really don't know anything about. Then please share that as well.

In the U.S. you need to be 18 to sign a contract. So I'd imagine that signing up for any type of service like Clickbank, Paypal, affiliate networks, etc requires one to agree to terms -- a contract, basically.

Hi Hagel, I do have a parent, two actually, however they are not interested in going into business with me. I am semi afraid to use other peoples names for various reasons such as tax issues. I wouldn't want to mess up anything with my parents or siblings under their name. Which is why I was looking for alternative methods to make money online that have no age limit. The main thing to me seems to be direct selling rather than affiliate selling. Since I cannot be a part of any mlm network in order to sell directly I decided that creating my own products or flipping websites would be the best alternative until I turn 18 in a few months.

I would imagine that most affiliate networks would ask you to be 18 at least because of the legal obligations and complications.

You can start of trading domains for some nice change as you wait to turn 18

Have a great new year folks!

You can still get a business license even if you are 17. That's when I got my first DBA. Have been using it even since.

hmm this is true, so in that case click bank probably does have that rule in the terms. And paypal definitely does. (Though I have one anyway, I only use it for transfers of money from my checking account to whomever I need to pay and vice versa)

If you're turning 18 in a few months, use that time to develop some sites. In my experience, it's easier to develop web sites without any advertising or product pitches first - work on developing some valuable web sites or forums, blogs etc.

Then you can monetize them when you turn 18 and you have lots of visitors, or just sell them and let someone else do it.

Starting from scratch you're going take a few months to get going anyway - develop your sites first without plastering them with ads and cpa rubbish

I understand what your saying dotslash but by a few months i mean about 8 months, now seeing as internet marketing is my main form of income over the traditional teenagers job I was looking for something I can do while I develop those websites. That way I can pay for gas and such. Which is why I was asking for information on flipping websites and creating products....

I think you could try like Sashas said with trading domains or flipping domains.

You could also start creating blogs and sites and in the next couple of months when you are 18, you will be ready to make tons of cash.

Wait a minute! It seems I once read about a 16 year old who built and sold a forum for tens of thousands sometime last year or even earlier this year. Will look it up and post it here!

I'm sure there is a way around this because Super Affiliate, David Wilkinson is currently only 15 and makes a 5-figure Affiliate income every month. David has been at this since he was 13 and recently joined the StomperNet faculty as it's youngest member.

alright premium thanks, let me know if you find it. And I know wfor a fact its possible to make money on the net before 18, just do a good search for "millionaires before 20" and you'll find tons of kids that have done it. And I am definitely going to look into trading domains and flipping domains, I just don't know where to start. I will also start creating websites and blogs and getting them established so that once I monetize at 18 i'll be able to make alot of money off the bat. But does anyone know where I can get information on how to start with flipping or trading domains/websites?
