A Blast from the Past... "I liked it so much I bought the Company"

Many of you are too young to remember but this was a popular commercial ni the late 70s and 80s.

He became the Owner of the Patriots for a few years later on.

NOTE : Here some marketing advice. I also used this similar slogan recently for a high quality PLR Program I was promoting to my List. I told my Subs I purchased the Product, used it, and loved it sooo much I bought the Rights to it and now call it my own

That's why one of my favorite movies is the Hot Tube Time Machine. It is more serious than it seems with a powerful message. One of the guys traveled back in time and "reinvented" Google. The catch is to think and predict ahead of your time. Some people managed to buy what they loved and to benefit/profit from it. That's a win-win, lol. Cheers!

Yes I can actually remember that commercial, well before I started shaving. As a life long fan of the Patriots I also remember when he owned the team. He was NOTconsidered a good owner at all, just terrible. He was planning to move them out of New England to another city. Fortunately Robert Kraft came along just in time and bought the team and has been a great owner.

He was a big fan of the Patriots and he like them so much he bought the team!

That's a good example of incorporating part of one slogan to make it your own

    Hi:

Great advice.... Good approach to convincing your list of potential subscribers that you have skin in the game.
How about Nike's Old almost original Slogan "JUST DO IT" That would take several more emails to convince your list though... It's a powerful expression though...
    Cheers,

Interesting you brought the Nike slogan up.. as last week I saw where it was inspired from. Psychopath Gary Gilmore who was being executed for two murderers back in the 70s said in his last words moments before the firing squad .... "Lets do it "

        Discrat,

Painful memories for me. I was going to grad school in Utah at the time and the news/publicity about Gary Gilmore was non-stop (he committed two murders in Utah). The guy was anything but stable and yet he expected the public to pick up the tab for his state of mind, consequences of his terrible acts, and the incarceration/execution expenses. His execution in January 1977 was the first in a ten year period after the Supreme Court upheld (in 1976) the death penalty.

Anyway, I've always thought slogans were one of the best ways to brand an online company . . . if . . . they were original and if they were true about your company. If neither is the case, then they're actually a liability that your customers can see right through and refute so easily.

Remember when Nike was having all the publicity about their sweat shop foreign labor practices? "Just Do It!" took on a very negative connotation.

        Good thread,

        Steve

Using any means of marketing that you will be using there will have to be some creativity so that you can reach out to many that are out there.

Even in internet marketing you will have to get the information delivered across in the right way so that all those that will be looking at it will have the impact.

There some trends that we will have to work on frequently for the best results.
