Anyone use Gmail Offline?

I respond to hundreds of emails per day and will soon have limited internet access because of travel.

How does Gmail Offline work? (the application)

Reliable?

What issues are common if any?

Alternatives?

I don't get what you are asking. Gmail is a web based email service. No internet, no gmail. So what do you want to do? If you are traveling then most hotels, restaurants, coffee shops, and the list goes on, have wifi. Also you can get a wifi hotspot.

Where do you get this application? I have never heard of such a thing. I figured gmail was only done through the internet. I am sure there is a way to view your emails offline when your not connected to the internet.

Chrome has an app that allows this. You download the app and it works similar to Microsoft Outlook where it synchronizes your emails in order for you to view and respond to them while your offline.

Can't imagine there will be much wrong with it, considering it's been out for a few years and made by Google, so go for it.

However, in today's day and age, you have Internet hot-spots pretty much anywhere?

You can use any offline e-mail client (Outlook for example) and configure it to use your gmail account.
