article marketing questions

I started to post a rant about some of the article directories not making it easy for you to find, let alone edit an article we previously submitted, but now I've got some specific questions:

ArticleCity.com

I'm right in the submit window and see this:
Please enter your article body here
Note: URLs are allowed but HTML code are automatically stripped out.

Can someone with more experience than me translate that please?

Does it mean you can post a link but anchor text is a no go?

I'm working from a list of article directories, A1articles.com seems to discourage you finding an article you've already submitted.

I have 4 approved there, altered the titles and don't remember exactly what I titled my articles, I can't search for them with out the exact name?

If I submit one and I screwed up the anchor text... and can't easily go back to edit it, I'd be wasting valuable time.

thanks

It means a text URL is allowed but a hyperlink is not allowed

It usually means they automatically parse URLs (turn them into live links) without you having to insert the html code. Which also means you can't use anchor text, unfortunately.

John is right, URLs at articlecity are converted to links and anchor text is not allowed.
