Default Where to sell my articles?

Hey everyone, I have been out of the mode for a while and I am wondering where is a good place to sell articles? Is there still a need for people to buy articles? If I had someone write articles for me is this still a viable business? Say I have a ghost writer, write articles for me because I don't like to write, can i package that up and sell it for a pretty good price?

If I have done all the research as far as the niche is concerned, and found a good niche with low competition but with good traffic, how much should I charge for these articles? I have about 10 articles and I just tried selling them on a different forum, and it didn't go so well.

I see a lot of people claiming to be writing unique articles for like $1-2 for a 150 word article. Any ideas?

If there is a favorite place that you like to sell your articles to please let me know, i would really appreciate this.

You can sell your articles to Associated Content for about $4+ each. However, if you're paying someone else to write them, that will bite into your profits.

As far as packaging articles and selling them; you can do that if you develop some kind of private label articles membership site. There are plenty of those around.

Lastly, you can compete for clients on sites such as Elance, Scriptlance, RentACoder, etc. There are plenty of folks willing to pay $10+ for *quality* articles.

Best of luck.

thanks jaggyjay, i really appreciate that, I had read somewhere to go get a bunch of keywords, and outsource 10 articles have someone write it for you, then package it together and sell it on a forum for not too much more. Chances are that method might be out of date. I would say it's kind of hard to sell a $4 article if it cost you $5 to make right, doesn't sound too profitable to me, but I really appreciate your help!

There are forum sites about articles and freelance writers. You can sell your articles there as there are a lot of website owners that are looking for some contents for their websites. Try to search them in Google.

Team up with fellow Warriors and sell them with websites / Wordpress templates + graphics + report / ebooks, etc. You can check out the Warrior Special Offers forum section for ideas.

Then cross-promote, each of you promoting to your lists. And set up affiliate programs wth Paydotcom or Clickbank, for example, to get affiliate marketing helpers.

Wow this is a good idea! How would I go about finding some warriors to team up with? Just ask them?

Yes, have a short email ready with specifics:

- a 1-liner of who you are and where you found their info
- what you'll offer
- what you'd like them to offer
- idea for price range and profit that person would make
- managment overview (like which affiliate model you'd choose, who would handle customer service, etc.

Main thing to keep in mind is to make this initial email short and to the point; i.e. don't send pages scrolled or an ebook-length info sheet to allow them time for a quick overview first. Other people may be super busy even for the best of projects.

Then ask away. Don't take "no's" as personal or anything negative, and just continue to ask to you team up with someone. Some "no's" will invite you back at a later date when they are not so busy, for example. So track your requests, posting info on an Excel doc for handy reference.

I have been seriously thinking about giving joint ventures a really good thought, but it always seemed scary to me, and I don't know why as I am pretty good at making friends. I read a book the other day about making joint ventures, do think of them as joint ventures, think of it as deal ventures, just trying to make a deal with others made it sound that much easier. Thank you very much for this post i'll see who wants to work with me
