Where can you buy domains with PR 2-5?

I am considering starting a review type site. I have been looking for a domain name that would fit that also has pr. In over 2 months I havent even seen a pr 1 that i could purchase.

Maybe im looking in the wrong places. Can anyone suggest some places to purchase domains with a pr 2-5?

Thanks

PR (aka Page Rank) is a rank given to the sites by Search Engines and the higher the PR the higher the authority of the site (in the eyes of a search engine) and higher the Search Engine Rankings.

You can increase you PR by getting more backlinks.

If you have any more confusion just PM me and I will help you out.

I'm sorry Jacob I don't have answer to your question.

Digital Point or GoDaddy auctions would be the place for domains with PR.

Just a word of warning, I don't know about Godaddy, but there's a lot of domains being sold on Digital Point and Freshdrop with supposedly high PR that are faked, even though dnsscoop, checkpagerank, etc. says their not. Do your homework first, check for backlinks, age of the domain, if it's been dropped, etc., but even then it's hard to tell. For instance someone was selling a high PR site that checked out on first glance, but turned out to be a few days old with no backlinks.

I would not bother to buy a domain with pagerank. Once you throw all your content on the site the pagerank might be gone.

Just get a good name with your keyword in it, build a nice site, do some SEO (on page and some linking) and you should have at least PR 3 within a few months.

If you are brilliant you can get it even up to PR 4 in under a year and if you are somewhat lazy or whatever, you should have at least PR2 within 2 or 3 months.

Does not mean you should not buy an old domain. Has many advantages, but PR of an old domain is risky business (risky, as it might evaporate within weeks).

      Hi,

I want to share my FREE method to find pr2 or higher domains quickly.

I search for auction domains on GoDaddy Auctions. Search for 100 result .com domains,
copy these 100 results (plus traffic , bids, price columns), paste in text editor, copy it
from this text editor again, paste it into an excal spreadsheet, copy just the column
with the 100 domainn names and paste them into : Multiple PageRank Checker Tool at prtool.info (can not post links at this time)

      Hope it helps,

      Oliver

        Oliver,

That is a cute method, I shall try to see how well it works. Typically, what is a good cost esaimate, even if by rules of thumb?

I do an easier version of that, but then it costs $30 or so a month. I do it via premiumdrops, which shows you the pr and links of godaddy auction listings.

Avoid DigitalPoint (as was mentioned above) - it's not the best for domains. (Plus it has quite a few scammers there)

    I'd recommend NamePros.com anywhoo.

DNForum.com is also good, but it's paid-only forum if you want to do business.

Then you have the auction sites, but sometimes you'll end up paying a premium since the domains there get big exposure.

I pick up highly niched and aged domains from godaddy all the time. If you avoid fat/weightoss/.... you will be ok, as there are a LOT of domains auctioned every day. You just have to have a methodology for it.

I have had decent success with digitalpoint actually. You have to sift thru the stuff as you say. Remember: where would an average webmaster go to sell their domain: digitalpoint is my guess.

Have not tried dnforum and namepros. Thanks for the tip.

We have a tool that filters the best godaddy domains. However you can do some manual filtering as well if you dont have access and there may be other free tools which require a bit of work, but can do an adequate job filtering if you overcome the learning curve

You can find decent PR2 and sometimes 3 domains for $5 + reg fees at tdnam.com - higer PR's will be auctions starting at $10.

Actually most of the crappers selling on DP picked it up on there for hopes of a quick flip.

Its really the best deal on the net.
