Beginner here looking for the best path on making money nowadays.

With so much generalized information, and people wanting to sell his/her product out there; I feel a bit frustrated on where to start. I want to go into CPA Marketing, but I want to know if that would be a good avenue to take. I also want to have a mentor to make sure I am on the right track. Is High Traffic Academy by that guy Vick even a place to start? Thanks.

    Hi,
People want to sell their product, it is also a chance for you to be an affiliate marketer to make money online. I think you should find out for more information about Clickbank, launch jacking, etc. It is a good way for a newbie.
    Good luck.

Doing affiliate marketing with Clickbank is a very good direction.
But I think you should find out about the product launch and then make do with clickbank

Here is how you can start:

    1. Start building a seed list - an initial email list for beginners required for email marketing.
    2. Own an autoresponder - this will help you capture email addresses of your subscribers. This will also help you send them emails.
    3. Give your subscribers valuable suggestions and educate them on the niche of your selection.
    4. Start pitching only when you are confident that your subs are educated to understand your product.
    5. You will need a hosted server for hosting your opt-in form(for email capturing) and thankyou page(where your user will be finally redirected).
    6. Regularly visit forums and ask questions whenever you are in doubt.

Best of luck on your new journey.

Wow...lots of newbies. The first thing that you guys need to do is work on mindset. Not saying that there is anything wrong with you guys. What I am saying is successful IM is not just about finding the right...Guru, leader, product, strategy.

This IM thing will take the brand new person a little while just to wrap your head around how things work online and how money is made.

In regards to Vick...I have learned a lot from watching his videos over the years. I never bought any of his products though. But he does add a lot of value to the marketplace.

There are many people who have followed him religiously for a long time and who have managed to become 'freedompreneurs'.

There is some negative stuff written about him also and he has addressed that public ally a few times already.

If you do decide to purchase any products like HTA, just understand that this is a process and not a 'quick' way to overnight success.

      I agree with Rory.
Without the proper mindset you will fail even if you are making lots of money. I say this because it's something I personally experienced in the IM world.

Mindset can take time to establish, while you educate yourself on what road to take, find a few industry leaders and follow them. find their blog, social media accounts and follow them. Study them and choose the one(s) that fit your personality best. They have to actively implement what they're preaching and hoepfully have a lifestyle you strive for.

CPA is a big niche as well, find one sub niche and focus on that for now

It really depends on what business model appeals to you most. There is just not one way to make money online.

Some require more time, some models require more money. Once you choose a business model, the best thing to do is find someone who is successful doing it and study how they do it.

No need to reinvent the wheel right? You can then pattern (not copy) your business after theirs.

That is why coaching works so well. These people are teaching what already works for them.

Brian Tracy says that nature is neutral and that success is like a recipe. It doesn't matter what your gender, race or religion are. If you follow the recipe chances are you will be successful too

Okay what about making money the good old fashioned way. No everyone is a salesperson. In fact most folks are not salespeople.

Here is an idea to make money. Find something you are good at and do that.

What are you strengths? What is your talent? Can you sing? Can you act? Can you write? Can you draw? Can you pretend to be a dinosaur? Can you make a puppet talk? Do you have a good voice?
    What can you do?
If you can't do these things do you know someone who can?
Can you program? Can you invest money in a project for $100 dollars and turn that 100 into 200, that 200 to 600?

If you have a talent start by selling it on Fiverr. If you do that and know others like you then get them on Fiverr. Build a brand and walla!

    Hi guys,

I have been promoting some offers on media traffic. I have no landing page, or auto res ponder. Should I continue going the route of promoting just the link, or should I invest in a custom landing page with an auto-responder?

I like how everybody always say : build a list like if it was the easiest thing in the world to do.

Where are you going to get your traffic? How are you going to engage and convert that traffic?

The whole idea of building a list and sending affiliate offers sounds amazing on paper but it is way harder than people think...

Totally agree with MValmont here. If you're newbie just getting started then Kindle Publishing is probably the cheapest and easiest method to make your first bucks online and give you a confidence boost.

The key is to do your research and learn how to identify "profitable keywords" to write or have your books written around, and then produce high quality content.

I've found a 12,000 word book written around a profitable keyword, released on Kindle, CreateSpace (paperback) and ACX (audible) yields between $140 and $200+ per month.

And total cost of outsourcing a 12,000 word book (writing, cover and virtual assistant) is approx $280.

Once the work is done it's set and forget. You can scale up your business after a few months by re-investing your earnings in more books.

And then at a stage where you have a comfortable income use your profits to invest in droppshipping, affiliate marketing or which ever area you fancy. You'll have the time on your hands and the books will still be bringing in income.

Its really hard to say what the "best path" is however at the core making money online is about providing value to a market. An easy starting point in my experience is to use adsense for monetization and start practicing the art of getting traffic there. If you can't get people to click on ads, you won't be getting them to purchase things so I recommend starting there.

The best path is following your fun!

Because money responds to your energy. And passionate, fun-seeking entrepreneurs don't think much about money. Which detaches them largely from money outcomes. Which lets in money making ideas, and influential people, and which inspires them to move into profitable activities....and...voila! Ya make money

As for the channels, focus less on courses and more on following your fun. Then the right course will flow your way through your research, or through a suggestion made to you by someone you trust, or thru some other means.

Any one answer to your question is WRONG!!!

I'll illustrate what I mean by that, with a couple of examples . . . selling online services to offline clients can make good money, BUT if you're an introvert and no good at persuading others to do things, then the sales required (either face-to-face or by email) means that it will be unlikely to work well for you.

Another example, building a mailing-list with either Solo Ads or a Squeeze-page and paid traffic can be a great business model. But if you have little money to invest, then it's just not possible for YOU.

So a much better approach would be to first write down your strengths/weaknesses and situation (such as how much money and time you have to invest, etc.), and only then start to consider which method is a good fit for YOU personally.

Without knowing those points about YOU, any answer is very likely to be WRONG

This mistake is one of the biggest mistakes most newbies make, and results in information-overload and failure (because they start methods that are not a good fit for them personally).

Why not work on a method that is a good fit for you ???

    Sell THEM what they WANT.

Who buys CPA marketing? Where do you find them? How do you know?

Listen, there is a basic, get it right, and don't take years to find what is right, for YOU, and get on with it. The BASIC:

Them. Who are they, where do you find them, what do you say to them??? All comes AFTER you know what they want. What are they buying now, from whom, how is the transaction done.

Who is them? Start with, who is you? You are in several groups of them, what do you buy, what do you want, where do you go? You are them, now create or acquire a product for them, then meet them at the Intersection, the place they hang, and present your offer.

    Short. Sweet if executed.

I've started with publishing Kindle ebooks and during the last 9 months I've been combining Kindle with CPA. The traffic for kindle ebooks is very targeted but you have to find some very good CPA offers.

Here is what I am doing as a Newbie affiliate.. Create lots and lots of Samples and Testing them in various ways.

Wrote a sweet ebook on my favorite topic.

Setup the email system on Aweber and linked it to my website.

    Published an Ad on Facebook.

System works well and people and actually reading my free ebooks or liking my page.

I have not made any money yet, but happy that the system works.

Now, I am presently building my list by personally emailing people or placing ads.

    Wish me luck

    Cheers

    1) If you have traffic, what if you have a crap non converting page. I think that answers the question.

    2) Are you really ready for a mentor, when you seriously do not know the basics.

list building, copy, traffic, sales funnels.

    3) I have a student I taught who is doing $350 per day. But he had to learn the ropes first. If you are not ready to step up to a mentor, perhaps use the search button in here first.
