You would make a lot more if you just focus on bringing in more traffic and promoting yourself. Affiliates altough a nice added bonus will cost you more in terms of sales but that really depends on how you're selling your baby bedding set.
Do you really trust affiliates to create enough trust with your audience so they can buy from you? Your best affiliates would be your buyers, stay in contact with them and show them how to promote your bedding set.

I'd outsource 20 great posts on the subject of baby bedding, and give them away free to popular blogs and ask them to use THEIR affiliate link to the product on Amazon.

Cant imagine it would take that long to have all those posts posted what with people literally hungry for content, and money...

Look for blogs in your niche and propose a commission for a banner of your product on their site. Their sites will be the best source of traffic for your product and you can get immediate sales if your product is good.

Try joining CJ (commission junction). You can get affiliates for your website there. You'd have to spend some time mailing people to join your affiliate program in the beginning but once affiliates start joining. It will start to snowball.

I think it may be beneficial to look to other methods for getting direct traffic. You can do by spending some good time on SEO. It would be more profitable for you and safe.

Commission is the main which is attractive for anyone . At the OP, are you still looking for affiliates?

As others are saying, getting affiliates is possible but not typically easy, so you'd probably get a better return for your time and/or money by focusing on marketing you can do yourself.

Research Ecommerce marketing strategies, and see what is most suitable for your specific needs. Paid adverts and Paid traffic can work well, but need more testing than most people realize, because people don't think through how random events work . . .

basically, random events are much more clustered than people imagine. What that means in practice is that a good "rule of thumb" is that you need to spend 4 times as much as your potential profit, on EACH test, before you know if that exact funnel is profitable or not. Then if you change one word, that's a new test. Doing anything less than that, you won't know what your results really are, unless you are doing extremely well and getting more than 10 sales from smaller tests than that.

SEO can work well but can take time, although some approaches, such as guest-posting or press releases, can get a lot of traffic in a short time, if done really well.

If you do look for affiliates, keep in mind that nearly all affiliates you get will never make any sales. So you either need to get a LOT of affiliates, or get good affiliates!
