Default Three Letters Dot Com Domain Name

Hi Warriors, I want to sell my domain vzk dot com but don't know what is the best place to start with and what would be a reasonable offer for this domain. I would really appreciate if some one can guide me to the right direction.

Thanks

Go on Google, search for "vzk" and personally approach each similarly named entity/business to sell your domain to them.
These would be your likely buyers who'd be willing to pay better price than others.

Average Joe don't need and won't pay a fair price for this domain.

Short answer: Sedo.
Long answer: A domain like that would net you AT LEAST five figures. Sedo has the richest domain clientele.

I agree with Sedo. You might also go to namepros.com and ask in the appraisal forum how much they think it's worth. Might give you a ballpark idea of what you can get. 3 letter domains are rare. Don't list it on Flippa ... they're not the best place for domains and won't get the best price.

Sedo, and you can apply to their "premium auction" that this month runs from Sep 17 to Sep 24 - The premium auction runs at GreatDomains dot com.

If your expectations to sell the domain are the same than the ones from your post of last year (in terms of value) and if you apply to the "premium auction" read the terms and set the minimum reserve price for the value that you want - if they try that you place the domain into the "premium auction" with no reserve price or a very low reserve price don't accept it and if they say that's the only way, don't do that... unless you want to play the "roulette" and want to take the risk of selling it for a low price.

IMO these times are not good to sell these kind of domains (vzk is not a word and has no English acronyms)... but are instead good times to buy. Most of the buyers for these type of domains in the auctions are "domainers" and not end users and they really try to buy them for the lowest price possible and keep them for a few months/years to resell them again when the time is probably better.

Here are some pages that might help you:
To get an idea of the value of the domain:
http://estibot.com/
http://3character.com/priceguide.html

Last "Premium Auction" domains (August 2009) from GreatDomains:
http://domainnamewire.com/2009/08/27/xp-com-tops-great-domains-auction-at-99000/
There is a 3 letter domain that was sold for $25,000 (sued dot com) but there's also one sold for $3,600 (zwm dot com).

Current domains scheduled to go to auction in the GreatDomains' "Premium Auction" for September:
https://greatdomains.com/search/searchresult.php4?auctionevent=Greatdomains
You can check what 3 letter domains are already schedule and their reserve price ranges.

If you decide to sell it in the sedo's "premium auction" I suspect that sedo will try that you place a low reserve price range - just test it to see what they say... and check what are the current commissions for them for a domain that is sold via their "premium auction".

Anyway, as already suggested, the best way to sell these type of domains is to find an end user that has the $$$ that you want for it, but I presume it will not be easy for this particular domain, unless those letters are a very popular acronym in another language.

BTW, selling the domain with the website might have more value if it gets good traffic.

The domain name alone should be worth anywhere between $2.5K-$5k. You should take offers in this range. List it on sedo, its the best place to start a domain name sale.

Alternatively list it on namepros, in the high priced domains thread.

There are many name spin sites. Search for it on google. You should be able to get at least $3k, if you don't, wait until you do. But yeah, they are right, post in their forums and advertise it. You could also use ebay and such.

Good luck
