Thanks for all the great feedback everyone!

Some of you asked for more info about trackbacks. You can
find more info about them at:

Scroll down to #4 and you'll see a more in-depth explanation
of trackbacks along with some good additional resources.

@Pat Ordenes Wow! That's quite an honor Pat! Thank you so much.

@Dhrousha Thank you so much for the great feedback! You've made my day
Thanks for the links for understanding how trackbacks work.

Great tips here.

It can be a problem that there is too much choice. Better to choose one or two options and try them and master them first before going onto the next.

Use contests and promotions , you can run them with custom coding or use sites like
strutta.com
wildfireapp.com
peashootapp.com (social marketing campaigns)

They can get some traffic in, that is one pathway.

In addition to scribd you can also submit to docstoc, wisdomebooks etc. You can also submit to hotfile, upload.to, box.net. storage.to etc. so people who are searching for it can download. Be sure to put your links inthe ebooks.

You can also create and share presentations using sites like slideshare, 280slides, etc.
Create and share videos as a method of generating traffic-vimeo,revver,viddler,dailymotion,youtube,etc.
Create and share screencasts - using screenjelly.com, screencastle.com etc.

Awesome Kim, what a great post. That must have taken you ages. You should do some coaching lessons.

Thanks for the great ideas, I will most definitely be using them as I have also seen a decline in the benefits of ezine writing.

Thanks once again. Needless to say I will be looking out for more posts from you!

Thanks a lot for these tips, Kim. Is there a particular keyword to type into the google keyword search tool that'll perform the function you mentioned above, i.e bring up high profile websites and blogs centered around your market?

Great question!

One of the biggest ways that I find potential content syndication points is simply from being immersed in the marketplace. I visit LOTS of different websites within my market and I always take notice of whether they have guest bloggers posting content, whether they accept article contributions, etc... That right there (just being aware when you're visiting other websites in your niche) can help you find LOTS of content syndication opportunities.

I also use a couple Google search queries. Such as:

"your main keyword phrase" + "submit article"

So you might enter:

"weight loss" + "submit article"

Other examples include:

"Add Articles"
"Add Content"
"Submit Article"
"Guest Post"
"Guest Blogging Spot"
"Write for Us"
"Submit a Guest Post"
"Become a Guest Blogger"
"Submit a Guest Article"
"Guest Post Guidelines"
"Guest Bloggers Wanted"
"Submit an Article"

You can also submit content to the Ning networks.
Ning.com contains THOUSANDS of different social networks (based on every topic imaginable). Plus, the best part is each of those networks allows you to submit articles (which are then posted on the front page of the website). Very Powerful!

So you simply search for networks based around your topic that have over 1,000 members and then contribute content there. You can also submit videos as well.

I also use SitesLike - Find and Share Similar Websites to search for potential websites in my market that accept article contributions.

And lastly, I also look for where articles are being republished. So, for example, if I find a popular article on Digg, Delicious, etc... I will go and look at all of their backlinks to see where else they are being published. That's another excellent way to find new content syndication points.

Awesome strategies Kim - love it.

Also found a nice one recently - JV Partner Swaps (many may know it - but hey!)

Similar to List Swaps but works like this:

Let’s say you’ve got 5 JV Partners and each of them has 4 more JV Partners right? So that’s a total of 25 potential Partners: your 5 + 4 x 5 = 25. So all you need to do is send a message to each of your JVP’s requesting that you all swap JVP’s.

You introduce each of your Partners to the other 4. Each of them introduces you to their 5 JVP’s and suddenly you have 25 new partners! And even better – if you repeat the process with these new JVP’s you can have hundreds of JVP’s within a few short days. Now all of a sudden Swapping Lists can increase your own list by thousands in a very short time!

Check my link for 12 more also.

Hi Kim,

Wow, great info. - thank you very much.

Is is correct to assume that most of the resources you list will require manual submission? Also, about how long would it take to get one article up on all the resources you list?

Thanks in advance for your help.

I'd nominate this one as "Post of the Month" if we actually had such an award (maybe we should?).

Definitely a post worth bookmarking, thank you so much Kim!

Great tips Kim. I just read your [CASE STUDY] - 1 Article = 7,640 Visitors post and thought it was excellent. You provide good/insightful detail re: what you did and your results from the action taken. I also signed up to receive your report.

Wow, really great list of ideas for generating traffic. I would love to post this article on my blog. Can I do this as long as I give you full credit and a link back? Thanks. Matt

In terms of traffic, I'm just wondering, have you been able to tell what your most productive source of traffic is?

I find that Twitter traffic tends to be the most productive - as in, they order the most press releases and SEO content from me.

However, this probably varies depending on what kind of product or service you are trying to sell.
