Does Amazon Affiliate Really Makes Money for Game Sites?

I tried Amazon Affiliate on one of our game website it gets some orders but the refferal % is very low (like %4 ) and you get only 1-2 $ from the sales. That is too low i guess.
What do you think about it? Is there any person who earns great by Amazon?
Or any other suggestion for gaming sites to monetize?

      Have you tried using Youtube to drive traffic? I don't know much about the gaming niche, but my son and his friends spend a lot of their spare time watching gaming videos and tutorials on Youtube.

    Not sure about Amazon with gaming sites but I found good old Adsense to perform well for me on a gaming site I was experimenting with.

    Made over $15,000 since around March with that one site (I think it was). It depends what volume of traffic you get though. My site got a LOT of traffic. I wouldn't imagine that Amazon would be the best way to monetize a gaming site.

    To make bank on amazon you either have a large following or sell high priced products. But higher products are harder to sell with gaming website since it's not the targeted audience. You wouldn't expect someone who follows gameplays to buy a high end laptop, since he didn't come to buy to your website he/she came for entertainment.

      I put a popads goes to new games and accessories on my amazon affiliate, is that a good idea?

    You either need some higher priced items or you need more traffic. If you have tons of traffic you can make a good income from Amazon even with lower priced tickets. It all depends on your site.
