What keeps you coming back for more to IM?

I was having a think today how much I am enjoying what I am doing.

The way everything is pretty fresh every day, theres no daily grind.. its all fairly organic nowadays for my work.

I wonder what you enjoy most about your IM work?

Are the results, the people, the money, the freedom, the ability to work hours that suit you, the peace & quiet, the thrill of the chase what gets your motor running the most.

For me, its sometimes the money - other times its that fact that I am running my own race in my own way

It can be hard some weeks, when things dont work, when youre low on cash, when you get crappy feedback, when campaigns just arent going to plan. but then there is always something that draws us back in

Whats your IM carrot?

Yep it's pretty cool being part of something from conception to fruition and seeing it work.

Hey sometimes it fails but at least we've had the balls to get out there and try something so many people just talk about doing.

The growth of my business has been really satisfying and now my systems are in place I realise that the possibilities are limitless which is also really motivating for me.

Being the captain of your own ship. In other words, not being told what to do.

If I screw up, I take full responsibility. If I succeed though, I can revel in it

      This is so true.

I don't know if it was my age or just me but I found it really hard working for people before I went out on my own.

Being 'managed', following orders (even when I didn't think they were the right thing for the business), being told where and when to be somewhere - in the end it gave me the shits and I HAD to get out and run my own race.

I couldn't ever work for anyone again, not in that way.

Maybe it's just what drives us but being in control of my own destiny is incredibly satisfying.

Have to admit it's a green carrot, lol. Just like you. Yet, it would be wrong to say that is all about the Benjamins. You also mentioned freedom as an important factor. So, we can agree that's a unique combination of these two. When they are properly balanced that IM is a true win-win. Cheers!

    Hi,

For me, the good feeling about IM is that I am able to work in my pyjamas. And, of course, I am able to work anywhere, everywhere too, as long as there is w-fi connection.

However, the best thing about IM is still the fact that I am able to share my knowledge with anyone who yearns to be freed from working for someone else. When you see the person you are coaching, achieving financial freedom, you too will feel a strong sense of accomplishment. My mentor said that to me when he was coaching to me. I felt it too when I helped many others became successful. That's the best thing about IM. Anyone can succeed on the internet.

    Warmest regards,

Totally agree with you there Tim - the freedom is such a huge part and not having to ask permission to go on annual leave (and only have 4 weeks allocated for leave per year for that matter).

I am a fan of working in my PJ's and also being about to go anywhere at a moments notice to do what I need to do for work, family or friends and just bring along my laptop and plug into local Wi-fi.

I'm not at the stage to be doing much mentoring, sure a little here and there informally for a few people starting out but I get what you mean.

I feel I want to share what we do with everyone, while at the same time I doubt everyone would understand how amazing it is.

Ha, that is pretty enticing stuff.

I like getting a new lead or enquiry for a project, it's a little addictive really and it's funny that's how I get my thrills now

Totally - it's just those two things for me as well.

I can't imagine the old way of working any more. I find the whole idea of it pretty nuts to be honest.

I have read so much on here about what people are doing, the hours they are working and the happiness they get from IM. Sure, it's not always skipping amongst the daisies but it is a pretty cool niche to be in.

I count my lucky stars, even when I am having a crap week
