Hello,

I see alot of guys/gals here that start out with pretty much no funds to invest.

What are the options when your new to IM and you have upto 2-3k to invest? Along with hard work and dedicating, will this increase your changes of succeeding alot better?

Currently I'm reading alot and doing some research regarding where I want to kick off but I was wondering if I should get along with a coach/mentor to increase the learning speed.

Thanks

Yes, if you look around or WF here, there are a lot of mentor and willing to take your 2-3K in any minute, but are you really learn something out from them, that is BIG QUESTION.

My best advice, keep learning from free resources by using Google search and don't give out your hard earn money that easy.

Use that 2-3k creating offers and sending traffic to said offers to validate them. Once an offer is validated, you double down on promoting it and optimizing the sales funnel.

      Totally agree with Steve here.

and if you would like to see how to validate the offer,

I found a gr8 article on the sumome.com site on exactly that, so I made a video on it and added the extras I felt necessary. It's on youtube.

Here's the youtube video link: Click for the Video

      Hope it helps

its advisable to choose a good mentor because there are scam artists who know nothing and pretend to be mentors

Right, any advice on how to determine the legit from the not so legit ones? I guess you could say that we look at reviews but most of them also seems so artificial.

Before you go and look for a mentor you need to decide what niche you want to start with, how much time you want to invest. There are plenty of niches.. from eCommerce to affiliate marketing , from solo ads to creating and launching your own product..CPA...etc. So first choose a niche and then look for a mentor/coach. The best decision i ever made was 3 years ago when i decided to go with a coach. Best money i ever spent!

      Thanks for the feedback William,

I have indeed thoughed about the niches I want to try out and I'm willing to move on now. I think a coach could also tell me whether this niche will suit me and if its profitable at all. Could you tell me how you went on to finding the right coach/mentor ?

Sure it would if used wisely. However let me give you three bits of coaching for totally free

    A) Never EVER come on Warrior forum and announce you have thousands to invest.

    B) which a few may disagree with but there are few people who are worth hiring for thousands and they charge more than 2-3

Keep that kind of money in your pocket for more tangible things.

    C) Learn traffic generation and when you think you have that down...learn traffic generation

SEO, PPC ad buys, Viral campaigning whatever...its all about traffic

I believe having a mentor is incredibly important if you want to become successful online in the shortest time possible. A mentor will be able to tell you what to avoid, what works and what doesn't work because they have been there and done it before and have the experience to back it up.

They will be there to help you overcome any obstacles that you come across (and in internet marketing you will come up against obstacles, especially at the beginning). A mentor will be able to shortcut you to success by cutting out a lot of the trial and error you would face if you tried to do it by yourself. What could take years by yourself when pursuing IM success, may only take months and in some cases weeks with a mentor behind you!

I myself currently have several mentors I have learnt from and continue to do so. Going it alone will not get you very far, so finding a good mentor is very important.

Find guidance from those who have created success before you!

First do not except any PM about Mentors or help Mentioning as you have spilt the beans about the how much you have to spend

Do your own research find the right fit learn about the niche than and only then look for mentor
Its a pain but MMO has way to many sharks

My advice is to figure out what you want to do and start doing it.

Until you learn the basics and have started using them, I think a coach type is a waste of time. You won't know if what he/she is saying is right or wrong or even what to ask besides generic "how do I make money" type questions without experience. It may be a case of the blind leading the blind.

Once you have started and gotten some experience, then you are better prepared to choose more wisely.

As far as relying on your coach to tell you if a niche is profitable or not, I have 2 thoughts:

    1. If it was he/she probably wouldn't tell you - they would do it themselves.
    2. Whether it is profitable or not has more to do with what you do than anything else. I've seen people go broke in a profitable market like weight loss and seen others get filthy, stinking rich. So a coach has NO idea whether something will be profitable for YOU. And, those that promise it is (and there are many) are exactly the types to stay away from.

well I had a personal mentor/coach, he taught me things in IM, in one year than what it took me 5 years to learn.. it was the missing link..
and yes theirs a lot of people out there who call themselves mentors but haven't a clue. Keep your money in your wallet, and Im sure if you visit here a little more often you will find your answers here just by asking questions..

    Good luck PIPI

To be honest I would not spend that 2-3k looking for answers, make sure you hold onto that so when you find something from your own reading and research (like on this forum) you will have a little money to leverage at that time. 2-3k won't go far but if used strategically may help get you going at least.

    Hi pipi,

BTW pipis around here are a sort of tasty clam or mussel we get on our beaches. You catch them by "Doing the twist" at low tide on our surf beaches. They pop up and you catch them to either eat or use for bait to catch other fish.

There is a lesson in that right there, by the way.

There is plenty of advice you will get from a post like yours.

Consider how we learn things in general and how we become good at something.

Also consider how when we become good at something we then feel we need coaching or coaches recognise we have talent and then want to recruit you.

In the IM space this is why there are a lot of free or $7 or $17 products.

It is a bit like when you are a kid and you want to play tennis or take up golf.

You've got to do a bit of rudimentary stuff.

    Get to know the game.

    Hit a few balls.

You can get coaching at a basic level but be aware of what coaching you are getting and how that impacts what level you are at.

With any new skill you want to learn there are stages.

Regardless of what any "IM guru" will tell you there are stages of development you must go through personally.

Even if you can skip stages by using the latest product or by getting training from the best guru you will still need to go through the basics.

Focus on learning a few basics and then when you are competent expand your knowledge.

    Best regards,

    Ozi

I also used what I call "Silent Mentors". I picked a few very worthy and very successful marketers on here and followed them and observed what they did and what they were saying.

And in a non intrusive way every once in a while PMed them if I had a specific question.

    Worked good

IM Mentors are hard to find because many of the marketers do not want to involve themselves in mentor-ship....they prefer passing their times in their own works

If you don't have a mentor -- you'll spend a lot of time figuring things out on your own.

Understand this. A mentor has been where you are now -- and they've made it. If you let them show you the way -- you're going to get fast results.

    Why?

Obviously because of their experience. And also, because when you're stuck on a problem. They give you an instant solution since they've dealt with it before. In this manner, you jump the learning curve. You'll get to where you want to be faster -- when you learn from someone who's already there.

You have to pick the right person though. Lots of people out to scam you. Be wary of them.

As to how you spend your 2-3k is up to you.

Most internet marketing "gurus" are FAKES and CON ARTISTS. The only system they can teach you is how to build a "sucker list" and swindle clueless people out of their hard-earned money. Unless you want to learn how to be just like them, you should save your money.

i would defintely get a coach and not a cheap coach. if anyone says they will teach you how to make money for a $100 , walk away. real one on one coaching is pricey but worth it.
go with a coach that will show how to build a list and market to the list.

If you really need a coach who has walked down the path and has made it right upto the numbers. You should go to Brendan Mace.
    Check him out www.brendanmace.com
His coaching is pricey(about $1K), but I would be able to afford it soon in a month or two to start with.
He is a great guy and has some good testimonials to his Coaching. Check if he is yet accepting applications.

Note: I am not his employee, nor his affiliate. I look upto him and he is worth working alongwith.

There are quite a few warriors who have never had a mentor that they had to pay for help and this whole idea of having some person tell you what to do and half do not follow the rules in place then come on here complain how bad this person is and a rip off

It is better to study the niche via Youtube and other means and make mistakes because in this game we all become scientists and try to work out what work and what did't best way to learn
