is There A Way To Copy And Paste From Forum To Word And Keep Formatting?

I am part of an online class thats in a forum and I want to copy and paste everything so that I have it for my notes. However when I do this it loses a lot of the formatting and looks weird. Is there any way to copy everything identical? Or to copy the whole thread?

I am copying to pages(word).

Open Office will save formatting when copy/pasting.

The exported PDF example is attached to this comment. That's all copy/paste, it's not a screenshot image. You can copy/paste the PDF text as proof.

Honestly, I have tried and failed. I don't like to write directly, but I don't have any other choice. Each time I copy/paste a text from a word doc here, I get these weird symbols. I also understand that it would be ridiculous and pointless to type them all over again here. So, I can suggest you the following idea, if you accept it, of course. Make screenshots of your notes of whatever you have. Then upload them as a part of your thread. I'm not an expert for these things, but you should be just fine. Give it a try. If you find a solution in the meantime, please share it with the guys here. It goes without saying that there are quite a few people here who would like to use this solution. Cheers!

Globally find and replace all of your weird symbols. Replace with nothing. That problem is solved.

I am suggesting my way of how I get rid of forum formatting. However, I am not sure if that's what you are looking for. Here is what appears when you copy-paste content from forum into office:

Can you spot the CTRL option I have circled in red?

Well, if you click it - 3 options will appear. Select the one that says "keep text only."

This will remove all the formatting effects you copied from the forum.

I hope this is what you are looking for.

    Thanks
