How do you transfer a wordpress blog to another URL?

hi,

i currently have a wordpress blog on my domain name...

but i want to transfer it to another domain name...because
i just bought a new domain name...

does anyone know how to transfer it?

i would greatly appreciate it...

    Hi BJ,

    as far as I am aware there is an export and import option under tools in the dashboard, and can transfer over pages, posts, comments, custom fields, categories, and tags, I just learned this today myself as I was moving my blog!

    If your site is hosted on a CPanel server and you are keeping everything on the same host, your webhost should be able to change your account over to the new name. Then all you'd have to do would be to go into your wp-admin/Settings and change the name in there.
