Advertisement Continue Reading Bellow

This is something I begin noticing on my smartphone first. You have these stories that Google recommends for reading. Based on your preferences, I guess. I don't know how it works exactly and honestly, I don't care. Yet, there's this line that caught me eye:

"Advertisement Continue Reading Bellow."

I see it more often on numerous websites. You start reading an article and after a paragraph or two, you find the first one. You move on, there's another one. By the time you're done with the reading, you find a few more. Now, it's not a big deal. You scroll down and go on with the reading. Right? So, it's a good strategy actually.

The advertisers don't have to worry about ad blockers. On the other side, you as a reader are given a choice. After the first ACRB warning, you can stop or go with the reading. The creators of the content have to twink twice what they're going to write. If the text is interesting for reading then you aren't going to mind, are you?

So, the ads have found a way to survive. I have to say that I strongly support all forms of fair play games. This reminds me of commercials on TV that used to go with a countdown timer in one of the corners. Remember? This is something YouTube is using right now. You have the mandatory period of 5 to 10 seconds and then you're allowed to skip the ads.

I'm curious to see how long is this ACRB thing going to last? No matter how hard you try, you can't help yourself noticing these integrated ads. But, at the same time, I have to say they aren't too annoying. This is supposed to be a win-win and I can also say my hat off to guys who come up with this concept, although I'm aware it doesn't have to be a new or original one.

What do you think about it? Could this be the next big thing? Or, this is something just to use as a temporary solution for a problem that includes powerful ad blockers, impatient readers, and demanding advertisers?
