    Yes of Course, yelp listing is very important for any business as it have millions of visitors and reviews all around the world.

    Pointless on the whole.

    Every customer I've ever had has had a yelp listing and they get nothing out of it. Links are no follow also.

    If you have a brick & mortar business location that relies on foot traffic - something that people regularly search for locally, like a restaurant or device repair shop - yes, Yelp can be useful. As a digital services business though, I've seen no benefit whatsoever. In fact, the day after I listed my services on Yelp I was inundated with telemarketing calls for months. Not to mention, Yelp themselves regularly harrasses me about buying advertising from them despite having very politely asking them to stop on various occasions.

      Also true. Yelp sales associates are incredibly aggressive. I paid for advertising for them for a year (martial arts school) and did not get ONE lead from Yelp in that entire year. They continue to call me, and when I ask them to stop my account usually gets transferred to another account exec who reopens it and starts calling again. It's incredibly annoying and no matter how aggressive I am in asking them to stop calling, they all want to prove how they did indeed actually help me. Not...

    It is not THAT important because I have forgotten about YELP until you mentioned it here. I don't even use it for reviews. I search reddit and quora for reviews. In my opinion, what is more useful is getting your business listed in google my business.

      Hey, That's a great point. Yelp has never permeated my consciousness as a consumer so that goes to show how it isn't all that relevant. Thanks for your help

    Odds are your business will end up on there anyway, whether you add it or not, and then you'll have to go through the process of claiming it. If it is not already there, I'd submit it and have control over it from the start...
