Blog content?

Hey guys,

So I've been doing a lot of work trying to get my site up in the past week when I came across the issue of setting up my blog. I have Wordpress installed and everything already, but I'm kind of on the fence about what to actually blog about? I was thinking of things that I wanted to blog about, but realized that they would make better articles that I could just submit to directories (although I could put them on the blog also). But I was just curious if anyone had any tips or advice for what could be put on a blog if you don't really have THAT much to say and you want to get a lot of content in it? News articles from other sources, etc? I just don't know what to blog about long term and on a day to day basis to get good, quality content.

    you can use "borrowed content" - but google knows, and will send you less traffic for it.

    after all, if the article exists somewhere else, why should they send the visitor to you ?

    if you do not have too many topics available, simply re-write your blog content for directories.

    but re-write it completely.

    if you add "borrowed content", try to write something to add to it - even if just a short lead-in and a short ending - to make it different from the original - and keep the original article intact in between

    google is getting smarter all the time....

      Try going to Yahoo Answers or niche forums and see what questions people are asking about your topic. If you don't know the answers, do a little research. Then write blog posts addressing the questions.

      Also do a YouTube search and see if there are any videos that answer the top niche questions. You could post the videos on the blog, too.

        What is content? It just regurgitated ideas from another part of the web or books or school or whatever. Just because you wrote a fresh article from your head just means it's a reworded idea from some place else. Unless you break a news story yourself or you invent something no one knows about you probably aren't saying anything spectacular you're just saying it in your own words.

        If you search news sites you should find some good ideas of what to write about.

    I have found I just blog about what my site about and find

      What do you want to write about?

      Internet Marketing, Business, Video Production etc.

      If you know what you want to write about I suggest going to blogs in your niche and see what kind of content they have. That will get you started but what makes a blog 'special' is the ability to convey information in your own voice, tone, and style.

      The most important thing to do is to start.
