Anyone use free equivalent of Desktop Marketer by IMC?

I have a quick question that I hope someone here can answer...
A few months back I stumbled upon a free equivalent software program for the PC that worked similar to Desktop Marketer that the Internet Marketing Center sells and I placed it in my "Explore Later" Folder.
The problem? My hard drive went wacky a couple weeks ago and somehow I lost it before I ever got to explore it. The worst part is I do not remember what this freeware equivalent software was called.
Desktop Marketer, of course, is 'direct-to-desktop' marketing software that lets you bypass e-mail altogether and deliver messages straight to the desktops of your customers' and subscribers' computers.
I was just wondering if anyone here happens to know the name of some freeware equivalents to Desktop Marketer and if so where can I download it from?
Any help would be very much appreciated and I thank you in advance!
