How To Buy Safely a Website (without losing my money)?

I want to buy a website in the next hours.
How can I do it with minimal risk to lose my money?
Is paying with PayPal enough?

Go to a domain registrar, for example, godaddy.com. Check that the domain you want is available. If it is, buy it from GoDaddy using PayPal. That's it!
You will then need a place that will host your domain.

You wanna buy a website already built with a domain or just a domain name only?

If purchasing an already built site - use an escrow service if possible.

Most of the websites available for sale are pre-built, that means the same template has been copied over across a few thousands sites as well, not sure how this will rank in google?

I want to add that it is an established website.

(I didn't buy it because seller refused to sell it through Flippa)

There is no need to insist on a sale made through Flippa. The downside of a sale through Flippa is the quite high fees they take from the seller.

All you need to do to protect your rights is to insist you payment goes through Escrow.com. This protects you 100%. They are very reliable. I've used them a couple of times.
