Default Do Article URL Cliks Cease on Most Articles?

I've posted over 200 articles at Ezine Articles and have become frustrated because some of the articles are dubs, and if I get URL clicks, they usually cease about 2 weeks later. As a result, when I get conversions, I get them only in spurts. After becoming frustrated, I've wondered whether I'm doing something wrong; I understand, according to article marketing experts, that article martketing really works. Unfortunately, in my case, it hasn't worked well. Please help.

1. look at the amount of page views compared to the clicks you got - if it is really low, look at improving the bio box.

the bio box is not an auto license to get clicks - you still have to motivate the visitor to click through.

you can edit any article and re-submit.

2. if your article is not written around a long tail keyword (less that 10 K competing results when searched in quotes), it will eventually be replaced by newer ones - and it will be too far down for the average directory visitor to find.

choose your keywords well - and you will get google traffic for some time afterwards.

3. also, look at the way your articles come across - do they hold the reader's attention long enough to get to the bio box ?

remember the AIDA formula...

A..attention grabbing headline

I...summary / description must create interest

D..body must be compelling, creating desire to read on.

A..your bio box must have a clear call to action

hope this helps

If you just write and submit articles they will only get a short burst of traffic. In addition to doing some keyword research you will have to do some backlinking to your articles if you want them to show up in the search engines.

Get as much mileage as you can out of your articles. Submit them to your own site or blog, web 2.0 sites, make videos from them, make pod casts. There are countless ways to get more out of your content.

If all you do is write, submit, and repeat it will be very difficult to get a decent amount of steady traffic.
