I accessed an affiliate product through my affiliate link and went to the order form showing my affiliate ID at the bottom.
However, when I close the browser and reopen it to access the merchant site directly, the order form no longer has my ID at the bottom. Anyone experiencing this? By right the cookie should last at least 90 days. |

Yes. Many people experience it very frequently. Especially people who run any anti-spyware software on their computers and/or clear their cookies (I'm not suggesting that you did either). Including some of our customers (who don't look, and aren't aware of it, obviously). It's a huge problem that's been being discussed here (and elsewhere) for more than a year.
60 days, actually, though I appreciate this isn't the key point here. |

I have tried on both firefox and chrome. And both do it. As long as I keep the browser open and revisit the merchant website, the cookie stays to my affiliate name.
Once I close it, it's gone. For the first time, I loving internet explorer. The cookie stays even when I close the browser for internet explorer. Firefox and chrome do remove affiliate cookies. Damn. |

That's pretty scary!
Check something in FF. Go to tools> options> privacy. Do you have accept cookies and accept 3rd party cookies selected? |

Not surprised.
Clickbank's way of tracking is ancient and more and more computer software is blocking cookies or deleting them fresh when you open a browser... Rob |
