I'm looking for a new hosting account for my high pr domains (so that I can use them for link juice on my money sites) and have been looking around for a host.

Wordpress.org recommends blue host and dreamhost. I know blue host is pretty good, but what do people here feel about dream host?

Also, any other recommendations beside dream host? I don't need a lot of bandwidth or disk space as I'll be hosting small content sites on a dozen or so domains that will be used just for linking purposes. Would it be better if I get a host with multiple class c ips (although that would be considerably more expensive)?

I host all of my sites at HostGator. I've had them there for three years now and I've never had any problems or site down time.

You can also install WordPress automatically there with just a few clicks of your mouse from the cpanel.

Dreamhost support is excellent. Any time I needed them they got back to me within 30 minutes. I also use servage.net for shared hosting and iWeb for dedicated servers.

I had nothing but problems with HostGator.. eg: 500 daily email limit & they banned me because I ran a link shortening service like tinyurl.

The best host I have ever come across is eukhost.com

We are used them for our academy, done test, read comments and they rank very highly right across the globe.

Certainly absolutely superior to namecheap, godaddy, hostgator etc.

I've heard worse things about them than HostGator, but everyone's experiences are different.

Of course, they are still an unlimited host so don't host any high-traffic (or high-disk space) websites with them else you'll just get suspended, but being reaonsable with your usage should be okay.

Thanks guys. I already have an account with Hostgator and have been very pleased with them. Just wanted to go with a different host to avoid any issues with Google thinking that I'm running a link farm by linking to all my own sites.

  • i have an account with dreamhost since 2005 and an account with hostgator (and many others)

dreamhost is just as good as the next one, down occasionally but up most of the time. support is ok but not the quickest imho
