What Kind Of Content For Weight Loss Membership Site Monthly Membership?

I have a weight loss product, powerpoint, videos, diet, workout program, etc that I want to sell. However the idea of making it a monthly membership site is something I want to do.

I have to give the whole product for weight loss when people buy, I can't just drip out the information over months as people want to lose the weight asap.

The question is once i give the whole program with all the content what kind of content can I add monthly that will keep people paying monthly for access to the site?

In my honest opinion, i'd ditch the 'Powerpoint' style videos because in this industry people actually want to see you. For that reason, I'd only go with camera facing videos.

    Some ideas...
    • Gym videos - showing correct workout form etc.
    • Kitchen videos - cooking healthy meals.
    • Live Q&A Sessions.
    • Live Special Guest Seminars.
    • Monthly Supplement / Drug profiling.
Basically, your 'retention' is going to be based more on your personal relationship / ability to entertain over the core information - which will be in there from the off.

What weight loss niche are you targeting?

    Include:
    • checklists (covering all aspects of weightless and exercise etc)
    • Motivation posts
    • Recipes
    • Reviews of related products and services (equipment, books etc)
    • guest columnists in the weight loss field (interviews, tips etc)
    • News from the weight loss world
    • Q&A
    • Team up with other related companies and offer exclusive discounts, vouchers and gifts

To be honest you are in a VERY tough market with sites like Mens/Womens health, Freeletics etc. They ALL want YOUR clients money and do it very well.

You could perhaps narrow the niche down to "fitness for seniors", "fitness for city bankers on a lunch break" "weightloss for very busy mothers" etc

I think you could offer some type of personal training program as a reason/incentive for customers to pay a monthly membership. This might be tough without a PT certificate and many testimonials.

My first thoughts on a weight loss membership site are...
    - Recipes: meals, snacks, shakes, etc.
    - Workouts: cardio workouts, weight training, yoga, etc.
    - Motivation stuff: quotes, mindset tips, time management ideas.
    - Reviews of workout equipment and workout programs (also a source for some affiliate commissions)
    - A forum or closed Facebook group where members can interact with one another.

Those are just off the top of my head. You can also curate lots of content as weight loss is a massive niche. Check out Buzzsumo to find the most shared and trending content.

Hope this helps and good luck,
    Brad

Right on thanks for all those ideas. I haven't found buzz sumo to be that much of a help but maybe I'm using it wrong. I will look into it a bit better!

You can provide written content as in articles, blog posts and monthly newsletters in order to keep your members curious and wanting to know more. That way they would stay as members for those 2 reasons.

You can also do videos with yourself talking in front of camera using your iPhone, PC or doing powerpoint presentations using Camtasia or combination of both.

Videos are extremely powerful if you know how to present correctly. They grab eyeballs faster and more than compared to say reading written content.
