How Do I Un-Hyperlink Text In Open Office?

Every time I write a domain name in Open Office, the text automatically gets hyper-linked.

But I don't want the text hyper-linked.

Anyone happen to know how I can change this?

If you want to get rid of the hyperlink on some text. Highlight the text, and then select Format > Default Formatting from the menu. That will remove the hyperlink, but keep in mind that it will also remove any other special formatting that you've applied to that text.

If you want to stop Open Office from auto correcting URLs altogether, you can do this.

    Go to Tools > AutoCorrect...
    Click on the Options tab
Deselect the [M] and [T] checks next to URL Recognition
Click the OK button at the bottom.

    Hi,

This also works right click on the hyperlink and then click on default formatting and the hyper link will be gone. Plus it will only effect that hyper link.

I just downloaded Open Office and planned to test it out. Glad I saw this question posted because the answer has helped me out too.

I think you can also select the linked text, click
the button to create a link and empty it.
It should remove the link and leave the text with
      the other format options.
