App for push notifications when I publish new stuff in my store

I run a book store for my employer and I'd like to get an app for it so that when I publish new stuff I'd like for my customers to get a notification of some some sort, preferably with an app. My employer also host conferences and it would be great to be able to invite people with the same app.

Suggestions as to how I can make this as simple as possible? Doesn't have to be high tech stuff - a notification for a conference or a new book, and a link that when clicked opens a browser.

    I don't know jack about push notifications and never accept them.

    However, if you have a bookstore and are sending notifications that aren't targeted to the users interest. I suspect it won't take long till they no longer want them.

    Who wants to know about a new book about X, when they could care less about X.

    The people I'm talking about are off course already customers in a very particular niche, and will opt in for the notifications because they want to get said notifications.. I mean, notifications is what the app is for, and they will know that when they download it.
