I hate HubPages, have a question about moving articles

First off, I can't stand Hubpages! When they moved some of my articles over to the new niche site, they went through and removed my links and amazon sections. I replaced them, I only had a couple and was making some decent money off my most popular article.

Though they were getting 300+ visits per day to this article through search engines and social shares, they decided to go through and remove all links and my Amazon product again! They also changed my layout and wording of my article. The ranking actually went down from the #1 spot on Google to like 5 or 6. What a bunch of clowns.

So since I'm not making money off of my articles but sending them tons of traffic, I have finally decided to move the articles to a new site I made about a year ago in the same niche. The funny thing is, I linked to my site (same niche) in the articles to get some juice flowing and they removed those as well!

So I went ahead and moved the articles over and placed the following on the Hubpage articles "Please Note: This article has been moved to *my new article URL*.

My plan is to leave it up long enough to hopefully get the attention of search engines and then remove the articles completely.

My question: will this work? And how long should I leave the HP articles stay up with the link (they will probably delete the link anyway once noticed).

Thanks for any feedback you guys can share. I have never done this before and will never use another website for money making keywords.

Thanks for the reminder about HubPages. Totally forgot about that. I've got tons of stuff over there from back in the day. Need to go back and see what's going on there.

      It's a mess as far I'm concerned.

Copy, paste to notepad, re-write (or pay someone to re-write+, copy again, paste to your own site.

The article is very well written as is. I would like to keep it as close to origanal as possible.

My main concern is to roll over some of the link juice from hubpages. Once I delete the hubpages article, I'm I believe by linking from it first should show google that the new location is the new home, thus hoping pushing some of the origanal juice over.

This article is probably the first article written on this niche. The niche in the U.S. has taken off the past two years 3-4 years since I posted it originally on Squidoo.

Yes HubPages was good for a few years but I gave up with their constant meddling with my Hubs.

I tried moving content from Hubs to my own sites, but it actually caused a dupe content penalty in the SERPS.

It's best to use HubPages as a springboard to launch your own site with high quality content.

So, just wanted to follow up on this.

This is what I did and seemed to work okay.

I duplicated my Hub on my own site.

On my Hub, I placed a note at the very top stating "this article has been moved to my site here" obviously linked to the article on my site.

My site page was not ranking well because of the duplicate content which I expected.

After about a month to make sure Google followed the link from my Hub to the new article and indexed my new new page, I deleted my Hub.

I then created some small social signals and created a handful of decent links.

Now that the Hub is out of the search results, my page has jumped up to #3 with Google. I should not have to do much with it any longer as people have started finding it and sharing it again.

Wow...a 4 month followup reply with instructions on what you did? That deserves a "Thanks". Great work and glad to hear you're ranking.
