Hi warriors,

Can anyone tell me what is the difference between Camtasia for Mac vs. Camtasia Studio which is for PCs? Also, would I need a mic to use camtasia on my mac?

Thanks for your input!

P.S- Is it harder to work with camtasia on a mac compared to a pc?

There no real difference from what i can see. I will say this, IShowYou or my favorite Screenflow are great for doing videos on the mac. Less expensive too. I do all my videos with Screenflow.

Yes you would need a mic unless you are on a laptop with a mic input.

Right on, thanks. Looks like a cool software that I'll try for sure.

Can I use Quicktime X on Snow Leopard to do videos? Is it better than Camtasia?

Camtasia for Mac is not feature-for-feature the same. It is missing some stuff.

I use Screenflow for the Mac - I like it, and it's more robust.

But the new Quicktime X in Snow Leopard can make some quick and simple videos too. And great quality.

Yeah, sadly it's missing the "Jump URL" function found in the flash options. Pity.

Camtasia for the Mac was just released. Screenflow has been around for a while. There are some others, too.

One thing ... if you're making long tutorials, they're ALL slow!

Screenflow is more feature complete than Camtasia. But I'm sure Camtasia will catch up over time.
