Just Host

Anyone have any feedback, comments or opinions on Just Host hosting services.

They provide everything unlimited (domains, space, bandwidth, etc.) for only 3.95 a month --- seems very inexpensive -- is there a catch or something I am missing -- or is it really a good deal?

    Hey there,

    Being a host myself, if everything is unlimited then there is a catch since hosts that offer unlimited diskspace and bandwidth do so with the knowledge that CPU resources will be used up before diskspace and bandwidth constraints come into play.

    Firstly, the price of $3.95/month only works with a 3 year plan. It becomes $7.95 when you actually pay monthly.

    Secondly, glancing through their terms and conditions, it seems fairly standard except for this bit:

    We reserve the right, in our sole discretion, to discontinue service to any customer with a website or other hosted data that takes up more than 10% of the server resources and/or 10% of the server's CPU. This means that if your website is found to be utilizing more than 10% of the CPU and memory of the service, we reserve the right to take your site offline.
    Just keep in mind that the terms and conditions allow for service suspension... most hosts set this as 25% of CPU resources, but Just Host has it down to 10%.

    Having said that, Just Host is pretty well-known in the industry for the reliability and support. It may be a reasonable price to pay.
