[Solved] ClickBank won't allow me to open an account!

Hi,

Has anyone else experienced ClickBank not allowing them to open an account?!

This is the message I received from them today:

Thank you for your interest in ClickBank! Unfortunately, we cannot offer you an account at this time. Regrettably, we are unable to make any exceptions at this time.

They didn't exactly provide much explanation! I have emailed them back to enquire why.

I tried setting up my account with my UAE address/banking details.

Then after I received that message from them, I tried my UK address/banking details just to see whether it was a UAE-related issue. However, I got the same screen message.

Right now, it's thrown my business plan for the New Year totally off kilter, since I'd already invested in WooCommerce Memberships & WooClick to integrate ClickBank. And I was optimistic of attracting a lot of affiliates for my health & nutrition coaching program/packages through ClickBank. So right now I'm feeling quite deflated.

    Have you tried clearing your cookies and cache before using your UK address. Maybe it still sees you as UAE. (I am a clickbank affiliate)

    My son is in the UAE ( living there for a couple of years, he's a guitarist & singer in a band) it'd be interesting to know if you get it sorted cos I have a fantastic business that I would like to share with him if he can register online from there. We used to use clickbank but now we have separated from them and have set up our own payment processor.

    Hi Keith, thank you for your suggestion. I will try that later on with my other computer and UK VPN.

    It seems strange that they give you the option to register from UAE. If they don't like UAE accounts then why have the option?

    The annoying thing is I didn't know immediately. I went through the sign up process and then got a "your account is being verified" screen, then it was ME that contacted THEM to follow up 24 hrs later and they didn't explain why my account wouldn't be opened. Not impressed by that.

    I did think maybe it's something to do with Christmas approaching and they don't have the resources to handle new accounts. But then why wouldn't they explain that in a message.

    I will let you know if I can open it via a different method.

    Right now I'm trying to figure out what to do. Setting up my own payment processor is an option, however it doesn't solve the issue of recruiting affiliates. I really need to promote my program.

    Do you have experience with any other affiliate network - Warrior Forum, Warrior+, JVZoo, Commission Junction?

    Are Clickbank blocking affiliates from certain countries then? That isn't very business-like of them, since there are plenty of good business people in UAE and Malaysia.

      Thanks. I am guessing though since they refused to explain any further and just mentioned fraud suspect. This was only after me trying to contact them. They didnt even bother to send an email on my account status. Very dissapointed with the service.

        What further explanation do you need? They are attempting to protect themselves, their customers, vendors, and affiliates. The dirty bast@rds!

    When you applied, the countries accepted are clearly listed in a drop down menu - obviously both UAE and Malaysia are on that list. Approval may depend on the banking info you provide and other factors of the form you fill out.

    Thus, location is probably not the reason for denial - but only Clickbank can provide the answer you need. No one here can fix it for you.

    This will make a huge difference whether you get an account or not.

    JV ZOO is the new clickbank.

    Lots of people doing well there, on FB, forums, bing, PPV. I have an account but have not used it, but I heard that people that do not get accepted on clickbank just go there.

    To the OP and the others in this thread trying to find ways to go around Clickbank rules.

    Do NOT PM members asking them to open an acct for you - do not keep asking why Clickbank turned you down. Do not propose "ideas" that violate the terms of Clickbank or other services online.

    If Clickbank declines you - find something else to do online.
