I am looking for a step by step guide to set up my first site on Wordpress. I am looking to set up a multipage site, add the plug-ins, and useful tips to make it easier would be great. It would be really nice if the guide was free. Please let me know where to look, Thanks for your suggestions! |

The best thing for me is to look at the original source of anything. For this case, you should start with the articles on the official wordpress page. Installing WordPress WordPress Codex Also you'll find loads of knowledge here: WordPress › Support And if you can't figure out how to do something just hit your specific question there or here and somebody may help you through. |

Hi Martin, I just downloaded your Wordpress tutorial. I think it is a great guide for newbies. It covers all the important points from picking a domain name and web host, to which plugins to add, changing templates and updating your ping list. I disagree with JBoxer. I don't think it is necessary to have it setup professionally. A lot of people starting out do not have the money to pay an expert, and if you do it yourself you will learn how to do it. Get Martin's guide instead. |
