Ebook with affiliate links question

I searched the forum for an update answer in this and could find one.

Create a new ebook that will be helpful and have a ton of resources. Some resources will point to affiliates. Just wanted to know if anyone could point out well known examples of this I could benchmark or look at for modeling my own.

Thank you for your time.

Pretty much it seems all Ebooks these days put in Aff. Links.

I do in some of mine. But the majority I don't as I wait a little time before offering them paid products. And build up more rapport

I include a few affiliate links in my ebooks, mainly for tools or further learning that I REALLY strongly endorse because I use it in my own business or have had students that have benefited from it. Typically I try to include links to offers where there is a special trial period or discount I can offer as an affiliate (Ex include shopping carts, autoresponders and blog themes)

I also let people know these are affiliate links - they always have the choice to go directly to the resource should they want to.

Another approach (I do this with my autoresponder referral) is to give value-add to the affiliate offer - for example, if someone signs up for Aweber through my link I give them a 20-minute video tutorial on how to use it effectively...that way you are giving value by including the affiliate link

    Him77,

Rather than create an eBook and putting affiliate links in that, why don’t you do put your affiliate links where a ton of people will see them?

Make a 1000 word + article explaining your links and place them on these sites as posts. Here’s where you can post them:

    Google +
    Facebook
    Google+ Groups
    Facebook Groups
    Pinterest Pins
    Instagram
YouTube Sites – Repurpose into videos by using PowerPoint
    LinkedIn Posts and Groups
Blog Posts – You can quickly rewrite and use your ebook material as a blog post.
Craigslist Ads: Craigslist removes any ads that have affiliate links, however you can promote a post that has links.
    Reddit Subs
    Slide Share

Actually this list could go on forever, but you get the idea.

Now, I know a bunch of people are going to bring up duplicate content issues. However, here’s Google’s stance on the issue: Duplicate Content Myths

If you have a blog and are paranoid of posting the same words on other sites, just rewrite the content and post it on your blog. However, Google is mostly concerned with you putting an article that has been posted all over the Internet like it was yours.

However, re-purposing your own content will probably bring you far more visitors than any small penalty from Google ever would. Besides that you could write a separate article dedicated to your subject and post it everywhere BUT your blog, if you’re worried about some mythological duplicate content issue.

Anyway, I’m sure someone else is going to chime in on this issue, so I’ll stand back and quietly watch…LOL!

    God Bless!

If you look at most guides out there you'd see that they normally have affiliate links in them.

The best way to do this would be to only recommend products that make sense and are worth promoting. If you just recommend something for the sake of a commission the people reading your book will sense that and probably end up not buying anything from you at all.

So I say that you can put link, but just ensure that they are good links to worthy products.

Maybe start with picking just one product, creating yourself a free report tied to the one product without giving to much away and naturally leading them into the paid product?

Learn to optimize your funnel being specific on just 1 product I think would be easier than hoping they would be interested in multiple...

    Your on the right track
