whatever choice you pursue, have the person provide examples of their work, (and results, if possible), before spending any money. Perhaps they even have references. If you've got the time and energy, cast a wide net in the beginning, but make sure they live up to standards before committing .

I've worked with iwriter some. I state in the directions don't bother spinning, etc. it will be rejected. I still get a few but every once in awhile I get a good article cheap. The rest of the time they are not bad. Over time you can see which writer knows a lot about a certain niche. I would guess there's some very good writers on there, I usually don't go for the premium so don't know for sure. Usually I'm looking for decent blog posts, you can state general info or presell approach in the directions to fine tune.

You can check the Warriors for Hire section in this forum where you will find plenty of good writers (including myself). Of course it does partly depend on your budget. You pay for quality BUT if your budget is the main factor, then Upwork or freelancer may be your options.

I second the advice above....there are loads of good writers on this forum - check out the ads and work directly with someone. You'll have better quality content that way.

I recommend staying away from Fiverr and other cheap writing resources. The content is usually terrible and often written by writers where English isn't their first language. I'm sure there are exceptions, but I haven't had much success.

As a former submariner, I've descended to several hundred feet below the surface, and my copy, well, it runs deep too. But, that doesn't mean I'm going down, on my prices, on my quality or anything else.

You can try Iwriter. Select the writers at Elite plus or atleast at Elite level, read their previous reviews (some good in writing on seo topics while some on fashion) ,send a message with clear instructions and if the writer feels he can do his best, then hire him! An important feature that is favourable for any Client is if the article is not upto the standard, straightaway you can reject it. Hope this helps!

This is really problematic. Good writers are very expensive. Of course, it depends on what you call good. I'm a professional copywriter. (Not for hire, btw.) What I charge existing clients for even something as quick as a blog post would prevent most website owners from making a decent roi. So, you have to balance quality with cost.

Definitely Upwork but just remember what you pay is what you get.

You can look at freelancing sites like upwork.com freelancer.com etc for quality writers. You can also check out hirewriters for hire quality and native English writers. Hope it will help you.

As someone who has spent north of $40,000 on content, I'll give you a couple lessons learned.

1. - don't use some service that charges $5/article. Even the "good" ones suck. You have to think of content as an investment. It will be on your site forever.

2. Ask yourself this... do you want this article shared, thus sending more visitors to your site?If so, get a kick-ass article, not some lame piece of junk.

There are good writers on every service, but the chances of finding one on a site like IWriter is like finding a needle in a haystack.

I've had much better luck in the warrior for hire section if I'm trying to stick to a reasonable budget. But our definition of budget may be different.

I'm by no means a pro, but I've some success creating information sites and monetizing with advertising or affiliate products. Just to give you an idea...

I'm getting ready to launch a new site and I'm budgeting $30/article (roughly 750-1000 words). And I know that's still cheap. Once the site proves out, I'll have no trouble spending $75 on the same length articles.

I have articles that I have paid $100 for that have earned over $5,000 or more. You have to think long term.

It has been a few years since I've done niche sites but for the majority of the content on them I used textbroker.com

I used mostly a 4 star (sometimes 5 star) author for the articles and it worked out very well for me. I would organize a work order for potential writers, a formula of sorts, and then send it off to a few different writers.

The writer that struck me most with a style and info I was looking for would be my choice. I would then commission them to do all of the articles. I found using the same writer is best because they will be diving into that niche and staying with it a long time, learning as they go and thus writing better articles for me.

I always gave a bonus when a particular article was exceptional and when the project was complete. Good writers are worth the extra money!
