Well I went and spent the dough to be a founding member of Sokule.
That's after I got over the jealousy of not thinking of it myself as it's got great potential.

I have become a big fan of Twitter as I like to use it to write something inspirational, crazy or actually useful. So the move to using something like Sokule was a natural progression. The ole Two birds with one stone so to speak.

I'm fairly sure that's available to anyone joining as a Free member.
I've got access to all it's features so it's hard for me to tell.

It does have the ability to submit to a range of social sites now. I've since added my blogspot site to the list. At present there are about 9 social sites available. Most I've never heard of. Which also means you've got to join them all.

There will be about 40 when they are done. But that facility is for paid members.

I've also got the ability to write rather long "mini blogs" which get truncated with a short URL when sent to Twitter. If any of my Twitter Followers want to read more they click on the link and end up on my Sokule Page with ads to my other programs.

Which gives you some more exposure and shows off your Sokule page allowing your visitor to join either Free or Paid.

You can also include images and videos etc. Again only available to paid members.

I'm not yet totally convinced that sending out to 40 Social sites is a good thing.
I've no problem with it sending to Twitter and my blog.

It's still young and they are working on it getting the "other features" activated and it's starting to get noticed.

It's definitely worth a look at. So I'd recommend you join it for Free and give it a Drive.

I am certainly convinced that as a marketing tool, like with anything, if used correctly will certainly benefit you in driving traffic to your sites.

I've got a few projects based around it in the pipe ( read - not started yet) ... having bought up a few sokule related domains.

It is fun to use though and you'll get a bunch of "Trackers" as it seems everyone wants to see what everyone else is doing.

As they like to call it - "it's the monetized version of Twitter."
      Someone had to do it...

      Cheers
      Tim

PS. Look mum no affiliate link but if you want - let me know and I'll let you know what it is.

@cadoutsource - I'm surprised there's not been more said on this in here. There are a number of "top" marketers involved in it. I'm guessing it's going to grow considerably.

I'm also a little bit surprised by the silence around sokule.

I've heard about it mainly because of a lifetime membership in an text ad / email list marketing site. I often get the impression that those people jump on everything that comes around, so what made me think twice was when I did a google search and found that Willie Crawford is one of the founding members.

I'm not using twitter yet. It's not because I don't want to, it's because I see other people mentioning the need for a good blog as a place to redirect people being interested in following you.

Social sites like twitter is about being social, not only about blasting out lots of promotional tweets. How is that with Sokule; Are people just promoting to each other, or are there also more social interaction?

I also wonder; Do you have full control over what's promoted on your Sokule page, or do you have to accept ad's on your profile page for products or programs that you might not really condone?

Yep, well as you'd expect, Sokule is probably going to attract more folk from the marketing world than anywhere else at the present.
And yes, alot of them do have a tendancy to want to shout out about their latest Biz ops. That's to be expected.

But there are folk that use it "socially" like Twitter. I was a looooooong time in using Twitter. I do have a tendancy to think up some different kind of stuff and I found Twitter a good place to punish those wanting to follow me with my words of wisdom.

So yes, there are some nice folk on there you can talk to!

Well as I'm also a founding member (I'm still a nice person ) I can promote 5 of my links and they have a section for clickbank products using your affiliate name but "The System" chooses what appears there.... It's alleged to be based upon the content of your "Squeaks". Good luck on that with some of the stuff I yak on about...

I'm unsure what the deal is with Free Members. Become one and let me know!

You can put up your Mugshot etc. I'ev seen some members have sqaure banners on their page.

As it stands, I've only set it up to post to Twitter and my major Blogspot site. I've not bothered with all the other social sites as yet. There's about 10 online now and I've never heard of most of them.
But they will have the more familiar ones like Facebook and Myspace.

It's a good platform to use if you do use Twitter. Again the one thing I liked about that aspect was I can write longer squeaks, which get truncated with shortended URL back to my Sokule Page. So if a Twitter Follower or my Tweets as they appear on my Blogs attracts a CLICK - they get thrown back to my Sokule page with the rest of the words and some Ads and some other stuff and my ugly head and the opportunity to join it as well.

So that part of it has some merit. If you get a big downline of Free members, at least you get to automatically get to "bother" them.....But they can turn you "off".

Even though it's Free it appears a lot of people are sitting back on this one which is understandable!

Although you would have thought that the combination of being "Twitter like" with all the Twitter "How To build lists that would use enough paper to deforest Europe if you wrote in writing so small you'd need a magnifying glass to read the names" All For FREE! that's been going on and then having something similar that's commisionable product/service would be causing server crashes.

          It's not yet happened!

But that's because it's a strange ole world!

          Cheers Tim

            Thank you for your answers!

So you're sure the ClickBank links can't be turned off?
Are those the text links in the lower left part of your site?

What would worry me more is if my page would have graphic banners, not selected by me, that promoted some of the programs promoted by the developers of Sokule on their other sites, and which I feel I can't stand behind from the viewpoint of an ethical marketer.

What's the prices for the different paid levels? Does you lose anything by first joining for free, then upgrading, compared to going directly for one of the paid memberships? I tend to think that if you are serious about joining something like this you ought to go for a paid membership.
