Yet another "I need a Mentor" thread...with a twist.

Hello Warriors, allow me to introduce myself as yet another noob in search of a coach/mentor to become his or her apprentice.

After some action, failure and tiny success, I decided that what I really need to make it to the next level is somebody that could show me the way, that I can look up to learn, someone that can offer instant feedback.
I don't want/need handholding; I need suggestions, feedback, motivation and correction.

I've been reading this great forum nonstop since the day I joined. I've learn a lot from the great people that make this forum and applied that knowledge with mixed results. And no, I won't be asking stuff like:
What is the difference within wordpress.com and .org?
How do I ping a website? Or how do I index my site??

Like I said, I've been learning and taking some action. I know how to install WP (even manually), get a blog going, Kw research, limited theme customization, social and article bookmarking, the works. The only thing that I think I will never master is writing. I totally suck, oh well I can always outsource.
Anyway, what I'm saying is that I'm not a hardcore noob, I've done my homework: CPA, offline, article marketing, affiliate marketing, SEO you name it. I know how it works, put some to action and I got mixed results.

Well, this is too long already. I mentioned a twist and this is it:

Let me elaborate,
One of the main complaints I read is that the apprentice is lazy, wants results tomorrow and won't do the leg work, etc. Well I was thinking about it and it occurred to me that an "Internship" type of thing would be great.
I would go work at your office/house/garage/fave coffee house for a couple of days a week, that way I would learn by doing it and you would get work done How great is that? I know is a very crazy idea, but WTH! We need to think out of the box, right?

So for this to work it needs to be local, luckily I live in the mega city of L.A. I'm sure there are a lot of warriors in this crazy place and I'm sure some of you could use the extra set of hands and another head.

After you help me become another success story, we can even do a JV, you know:

"Who Else Wants To Know The Strategies And Techniques I Used To Take A Noob From $0.00 To $XX,XXX In XX Days"
Again, just thinking out of the box.

Well Warriors thank you for reading so far, I appreciate your feedback and your help. For more info or questions post here or PM me.

Many thanks.

p.s. that only took me an hour, I'm improving already!

I would also be willing to work for a mentorship in the way of articles and graphic design. Would make an upfront arrangement of work to be carried out. Just a thought. Sorry I am not trying to hijack your thread, but you are just looking for people in L.A. Hope this post is okay with you. If not let me know and I will take it off.

    Hi Croque.

I like your thinking and approach to this issue/thread.

I believe Tiffany Dow was recently musing on a concept like this. I don't think she envisaged physically working together, but rather having the intern work on her projects whilst learning the ropes for themselves. It's a good concept if the right people are involved. Clearly this kind of thing is attractive to you.

As a thought though, you seem to know enough to get started and working for yourself and growing your own projects, ideas/concepts. Perhaps, with your level of knowledge and experience you would be better off getting together online with 2 or three people at your level and a bit beyond to kind of "mastermind" with them and talk about business.

Since I have started being more "sociable" in this inudstry, I have seen my business and performance grow and improve significantly.

    Just a thought.

Thanks, that sounds like a great idea and that's why I'm looking to do something like this, so I can start networking and meeting new people that will help me succeed.

The thing is that it will be hard to approach a couple of people and just ask them to be my "friend" since there is a doubt factor .

Anyway, I'll take your advice and will look for opportunies everywhere to find likeminded people.

      Anyone???
