Alternative ways to promote an article writing website

Hi Warriors,

I'm looking fo alternative ways to promote my article writing website. I've used buy, sell, ads before, but they sent bot clicks to my site. I would like to work with a similar model, but I don't want to be hustled again. If anyone has another banner ad network they could recommend, I would really appreciate it. Other methods are welcome to, I'm ready to spend on promotion, so money isn't really an issue. Thank you very much.

Why you don't do the SEO? You can make back-link. You should create Do-follow link more and more than the No-follow link. Because the Do-follow link will increase your site Page Rank & site traffic at a tile, while the No-follow link will increase the Manual traffic only. Thanks for your interest.

Thanks, I'm already familiar with SEO. I'd rather go with a paid advertising method. But thank you for your help.

What the hell are you talking about? I really hope you don't sell SEO or have anything to do with it as a business.

It's nearly 2017 and you're talking about PR, which got phased out years ago. If you don't know what you're talking about, don't answer someone's question and spread your ignorant misinformation.

        Was actually being nice here

Any help would be greatly appreciated though. Anyone has a better banner ad network than buy, sell ads to recommend?

One decent blog/site could generate more traffic than a banner ad network and skip the middle man ($$).

Email a few webmasters directly and buy some banner space on relevant sites. This way there's no rules or set spending limits. Haggle, get the price you want and do a short traffic test. Repeat.

Thank you very much, that was very useful. I'm not sure about pricing though. What would be a decent cpm?

That's up to you and wherever you place your banner.

All sites are different, haggle with the webmaster/s. Start at the low end ($$) because some folks will say yes right away without thinking about it.

You can look at sites like buysellads.com to figure out a CPM starting point.

Don't be shy, all anyone can do is say no. Move on to the next site...

How are you currently getting traffic?
In another post below you mention SEO, what about using PPC with Google or Bing to expand on that?
