Default Problem with Article Directories

I have been getting lots of issues with article directories this past month and would love some recommendations.

1. EzArticles - It now takes about 7 years to get an article approved
2. Article Dashboard - The same, 7 years to get an article approved
3. Article Alley - I tried posting a few articles here and my ONE link back to my website was nofollowed. I probably just of read the T&Cs but I did only had one link per article.

I am using ArticleBase and Amazines at the moment.

Any other suggestions for good article directories ?

Thanks

Aside from Ezinearticles I can't be bothered submitting them by hand and searching for directories. Get something like Article Post Robot or Magical Article Submitter (never tried MAS but it looks good) and fire them off to hundreds of directories.

MAS looks good because it creates and verifies accounts for you. The only thing you might have to do is add a pen name to some of them, if they don't work when you try to upload an article the first time.

Yes - use EZA and wait patiently? You only have to wait "once" (at the start of the slow-period), as long as you keep sending articles in all the time. You'll get them published all the time, too. Just with an initial delay.

(I'm assuming you don't want to spend $99 per month on getting almost immediate approvals there).

Good point. This is a quote from Eli at Bluehat SEO. "If you wait for results, there won't be any." You have to constantly be building and moving forward. Don't wait for one article to get approved before you write and submit another. Just keep writing. (Eli wasn't talking abou article marketing, but same principle)

I am not a huge fan of mass submitting to hundreds of directories. I know you can squeeze some links out of this but wouldn't be my first choice. I would usually hand submit them to a few and then make tweak -> mass submit.
I do post to Ezarticles a lot under a few pen names. It just seems to be really taking a long time to go through at the moment.

Thanks for the input

Yes, same here, and I agree. I think you just have to keep up a steady flow.

I did start wondering whether something like this might eventually happen when they started charging $99 per month for a souped-up service, not so long ago. I'm not saying I necessarily blame them, but I did wonder if they'd do better charging $39 instead (they might get ten times as many customers for it) and employing some extra people.

Does any one know what is up with article dashboard? Are they even still approving articles? All mine do is sit in the queue...

I also had a problem submitting to EZA, it takes time waiting, but still end up declining my Articles. Now I've been using Hubpages and PRlog, this Article Directories generates traffic very well.

I've also noticed a slow down in the speed. Either people over there are enjoying a nice holiday, they're short staffed or there is a massive increase of submissions as of late! :-)
