What qualities would you want in the perfect article directory?

Heres a few of mine...

Good PR..
Quality Content..
Instant Publication..
All Do-Follow Links..
Affiliate Links Allowed..

What would you guys want?

    it's not good quality if affiliate links are allowed or at least it won't remain a good quality article directory for long. High PR, high alexa ranking, high seo score of site is what i look for, do-follow is important but not necessary if we are talking about article marketing.

    Good rankabillity
    Speed of article publication
    Little Ads around article
    Affiliate links alloved
    Pictures alloved

    Rankabillity is the most important factor though.

    I guess it depends on your usage of it.

    For getting backlinks, you'd want dofollow links and a high PR homepage.

    For getting traffic and affiliate sales, you'd want a high traffic site which places your resource box in a prominent place.

    Everything I would ever want in a PERFECT article direcotry is in ---> ARTICLEBASE.

    Every single other article directory I've tried out turned out to be... not that good, or borderline miserable. I don't even know why people are suggesting directories like articlealley. That's the most miserable article directory I've seen in my life. Well, I guess everybody as different experiences.

    You are right everyone has different experiences... I must say thought that we use articlealley and have not had any issues. It has a good google page rank and provides a good link back to your site. The number one article directory in my opinion is ezinearticles.

    Funny how differences vary For me EZA is best (albeit very, very slow bordering on insulting at times). GoArticles approves instantly, but Google tends to be very slow in indexing around half of my articles with them.

    I tried ArticlesBase, ArticleAlley etc, although just found that (in my own experiences) they either provided little link juice (this is where EZA is good) or take a while to approve (this is where GoArticles is good)
