I had this list I compiled awhile ago on my computer. I thought others could benefit from it. These are questions that your prospects are probably asking themselves that need to be answered on your site. The "What?" questions ------------------------- What is the name of the product? What will I learn? What do you sell? What format is it? What are the table of contents? What is the guarantee? What exactly will I receive? What benefits will I get from using it? What is in the product? What name will be on my credit card bill The "Who?" questions -------- who is this product for? who made the product? who is behind this website? The "Where?" questions --------- Where can I use this product? where can i buy it? where can i see it before i buy? The "When?" questions --------- when do i get it? when do i start learning? The "Why?" questions ------- why did you make this product? why should I buy the product? why are you qualified to teach me? why is it worth the price? The "How?" questions ------ How does the product work? How will I learn from it? How much is it? How can I contact you? How will it be shipped to me? ** other product questions that depend on the format of the product ** how many pages is it? how often are updates? how can i see samples? how can i see a demo? how many other people own it? how old is the product / how long has it been around? how fast will it help me? how fast will it come to me? how can i return it? how big is the file? |

excellent list! I just copied and pasted into a notepad file that I will store somewhere on my computer in a subfolder that has to do with IM and that I will lose within a week and never be able to find again. But - excellent list! |

Really helpful list, thanks! That's one of the things I do when writing sales copy, make a list of every question I can imagine my prospects may have - but mine is never as organized as yours! ![]() Wendy |

This is sometimes hard to do, but when you are looking to buy something, catch yourself in "looking to buy" mode. And step back and see questions you have in your mind that you are looking for answers to on the website you are looking to buy from. The prospect is not just reading along like they read a book. There is a conversation going on in their head and they have many questions that need answering. |

I forgot about this thread. I was doing what I talked about in my last post. While actually being a buyer, I stepped back and took an objective look at how I was reacting while actively looking to buy something. I was looking for a certain toy for my son. One site I was on made it so hard to find the product as well as to find how much shipping would be. Now, I spent about 30 seconds looking for the product...which was frustrating. Then, in looking for shipping costs...I spent another 30 seconds, which frustrated me more, and then I had to go through a whole process just to get an estimate of the shipping costs. That was enough for me and I left the website. If, I am getting frustrated and leave after such a little amount of time, and I am fairly well versed in using the internet and shopping sites, imagine what your possible customers are experiencing. Especially if they are not that internet savvy as you. I'll bet it leads to more lost sales than most people know. That website that I did not buy from will never know they lost a sale form me because of how their website was set up. |
