Why would you use Ezine Articles?

I'm about to embark on an article writing campaign for my songwriting site...obviously I want to use these articles for maximum ROI so my plan is to get them up on the net, then backlink them to rank for related keywords...so my question is...

Why would you use EZA when you could post articles to your own site and backlink those individual pages? Surely you'd be increasing the authority of your own site rather than pushing up EZA?

I know EZA gives you a boost in traffic for the first few days you upload it, plus your article may rank slightly quicker but so far those are the only benefits of using EZA I can see. Surely posting to your own site would be a much more beneficial long term goal?

Any thoughts?

      I agree.

EZA is great for bum marketing, or creating traffic in the short term. But as a long term business model, I say use your articles on your own site.

The other thing that many people don't consider is that EZA has a ton of content on it for *certain keywords* and is seen as an authority in that niche regardless of the PR.

So, if you can find *those keywords* then you can almost GUARANTEE yourself a high ranking piece of content.

EZA = PR6. Is your site PR6? Is it even PR3? That's why. Your article appears on EZA's homepage for a day or so, which means Google indexes it very quickly. How long might it take to get picked up by Google if it's on your site?

The other consideration is exposure. A good article at EZA will often get picked up and republished (along with a link to your site) on other sites. So you get the backlink growth along with all those eyeballs.

It's still a good idea to post articles you write to your own site or blog, of course. But it's your property... might as well put it out there wherever they'll let you, right? The more locations, the more traffic funnels. IT's all good.

The more links you have from respected sites, the more google starts to give you respect.

You can add the article to your site instead, but you need links to the article for google to know about it.

A site with 1000 articles and no links from authority sites will not gain much google trust, but a site with a hundred articles and a 1000 links will

    Here's my simple answer...

Pick 10 keywords in the most competitive niches,
preferably the "3+ word keywords" and do a
google search - you will find an EzineArticle
article in the top 10. Heck, I am beginning to
see lots of them in the top 10 of Yahoo and
    Bing nowadays.

So - if you are really serious about getting
good RESULTS from your article marketing
efforts, then you need to use EzineArticles.
It's much easier to get an article ranking tops
among millions of competing sites when you
use EzineArticles. And mix up a little backlinking
efforts to your article in EzineArticles, then
you have a real winner that won't quit!
